I've had two of these models for two years now (one for my bike and one for my wife's bike) and it is a solid, well built, and easy to set up trainer. I would recommend getting a trainer tyre though because normal road tyres will wear noticeably on it. It is great value for the cash conscious.

Bought this almost a year ago when it got too icy to continue commuting to work, though I still wanted to keep riding and maintain my level of fitness. Spent three months riding to a routine specified by my Suunto HRM, and the trainer handed everything I threw at it. I tended to set it at the highest resistance and the use the bike's gears to adjust the resistance further as required. The only downside is that it can be *very* noisy when you're putting in a big effort; despite dampening it by having it atop foam matting, it still sounded like a 747 taking off in the room! However, at a reasonable cadence and effort it's pretty quiet and I was able to mostly hear the TV over the noise. (Yes, an hour's training session is an ideal time to catch up on your favourite shows to stop the boredom setting in!)

Does the business!

I bought this product about two months ago and it has been an awesome product. Mine came with the variable handle that goes onto your handle bar. Other than that part being a little wonky, the mag has been great as I can't exercise outside under about 70 degrees without an oxygen tank. The mag is smooth, a little loud, but I just keep the TV remote nearby to cover that problem. This is perfect for me as the military has left me with horrible knees taking running out of the equation. Really, for the money, I don't think you can get a better trainer.

Loving it so far

I got this over a month ago, easy set-up, good price, well-built.  Got it because fitness centers keep shutting down or when open are very limited capacity.  Now I ride every other day with my own tunes or talk show coming thru some nice speakers instead of earbuds.  Basic version of trainer, don't need to shift resistances when I ride, can just get off bike and do that.

Great price, does the basics ver well

My brother started using a CycleOps trainer for triathlon training, and I tried his and really liked it. A few years ago I bought a CycleOps wind trainer, but when I moved to a small apartment it was noisy so i just bought a new mag+ trainer which is almost silent and doesn't disturb my roommates. Really solid and stable - i like the twist feet to stabilize each of the four corners.

Really well built, high quality

This is my second mag trainer after mine was stolen out of my car. I had the stolen for a long time and used it for many winter seasons. Like most cyclists, I hate riding the trainer but I live in the mid-west and I'm not overly fond of the cold or rain. Long story short, I replaced my trainer with the updated Mag and have been very pleased, especially with the fact that the resistance unit doesn't seem to be as noisy. I don't have the handlebar shifter, but the shifting on my bike adds plenty of resistance when I'm doing hard intervals. I'm not a racer but more of an endurance/ fitness rider and the Mag offers everything I need.

Great Trainer for The Price

My first trainer-- it's rock-solid, easy to operate, and most importantly, it's made a huge difference in my training! Get it with the cable remote control and buy the accessories kit too--it's an all-in-one solution.

Great first time purchase!

Picked this unit to match one I bought ~10 years ago. Love it and still use 3 times a week for 20 to 40 mins each use. Very easy assembly, bike attached w/o any mods to her bike. She hasn't touched it! Yet.

Bought for my wife

This is my first trainer. After I got it set up, which, being my first trainer, it took me awhile. After I got it set I couldn't figure out why I was getting this herky jerky pedaling. There is no support. The manual is horrible. Product decent. I highly recommend buying at a local store so that if you have questions, someone can help you.
