Quality

I have been street running in Saucony shoes for many years so when it was time for trail shoes naturally Saucony was the one for me. This shoe is comfortable and sturdy for the trails.

I purchased these to replace my Excursion TR15 's that I was so happy with. The fit and feel is so comfortable which is usually a challenge for me to find. They also provide the support that I require from footwear.

Comfort and support in a trail shoe.

This is my 3rd pair great sneakers they run small in my opinion I usually go a full size up but my last pair I went a half size and they fit really well so maybe something has changed but great products.

Great sneakers

My husband hasn't really got the shoes yet. The original order was sent back in exchange for a bigger size. I received and email noting they were received and the exchange was being worked on. After 3 weeks, I called and apparently @the exchange didn't get put in the computer “. Come on Saucony! You can do better than this. I've been wearing your shoes exclusively for 40 yrs! I had to re order his shoes. I certainly hope they come!

Shoes good, service not good

I don't believe that I actually went through with this purchase as I am still considering some of the options for the shoe I'm seeking. However, I have been very pleased with the purchases I have made, and I am certainly likely to purchase another Saucony product.

Enticed by prospect of purchase

I had the previous Excursion TR9 which I hated--squishy cushioning with no support, migrating tongue, poor traction, laces that were constantly knotting.  Worst shoe I've ever had, both for running (gave up on that pretty quickly) as well as casual.  The TR16 corrected all the 9's shortcomings.  It's actually a decent shoe--grippy sole, supporting cushioning, more robust laces, etc. etc.  I'm actually using it as a running shoe (bought for a knock around shoe), currently on short runs on snowy roads.

Excursion TR16

I've been using the Excursion 14 model for the last 2 years and have been very pleased. When I received the new model 16, not so much. It;s pretty easy to tell that the crafsmanship is diminished.
I would rather pay a little more than settle for a shoe that won't stack up against its predeccesor.

Not as good as the Excursion 14

The shoes were not as comfortable as in the past. I've had the excursion 14 ones, went through 5 pair of them. Loved them. Told everyone to buy them. These ones (excursion 16) hurt my ankles. Felt cheaply made. I sent them back. There is a hard cutting ridge in them that bites into side of ankle the second you put them on.

I order my Saucony online because the fit is so consistent. Although the comfort and quality of these particular runners are great, they are much wider than I am used to. I looked at the box twice to make sure I didn't actually buy “wide” by mistake, I did not.

Wider than expected

Purchased many Saucony sneakers size 8 in the past. This new pair size 8 was at least 1 inch longer & fits terrible. The label inside does say Size 8 US so no mistake there.
Too difficult to return.
