Third pair of trail shoes in the peregrine line. Best shoe for my foot! I've run up to 100 mile ultra trail races in these shoes and wouldn't rather anything else on my foot. Fantastic shoe, great toe box.

Tested these babies out at a Spartan Super (10k) on a ski slope in Pennsylvania. I have to say, I was very happy with how they performed. They provided grip on the steep dirt inclines and declines. There were several areas of the course that was very rocky and full of roots, the ridged but forgiving steel bottom of the shoe protected my feet from the sharp edges with ease as well as providing cushion to keep going for miles. The spacious toebox kept my toes from ramming into one another while running down the mountain, no black toenails for this runner. Last but not least, the water obstacles. These shoes did very well keeping the water out of them. After the several feet of in and out mudslogging pits and trudging through the center of a shallow pond...these bad boys sluffed off the water, no problem. Not once did my shoes make a wet farting noise from retained water or mud.
The only negative i can draw from these awesome trail shoes is that the area around the ankle is a little too loose. Some small stones were found in them when i finally took them off for the day. I never felt them during the race!
All in all, these are great shoes for any type of trail race in the Northeast. They can handle all the terrain a spartan race can throw at them, and do it with style.

Trail shoes helped my feet survive a Spartan race

Loved the shoes!  I bought them for a hike up Guadalupe Peak and they performed as I hoped they would.  They handled the rocky trail very well with excellent traction and more importantly, no foot pain at the end of a long day.

Great shoe! Tested in the Himalayas. Soles didn't provide as much traction as I would have liked on slippery surfaces, but I would buy another pair. Very light and sturdy shoe.

Trekking in Nepal last week.

These are at least the 10th pair of peregrines I've owned…love this shoe for causal daily wear, easy hikes & occasional trail runs. I tend to retire them as work shoes (I'm a nurse). Maybe it's due to supply chain stuff, etc., but the 12s are the worst yet. Stiffer, heavier, less breathable than any previous iteration.

All-time great starting to slip a bit

Its a little early to say. I work, hike, run, and make romance in my Peregrins. So durability is always a big one for me. I think I started on the 8's, so obviously i like them. My one crituque is, i always manage to wear out the uppers before the soles. Pretty decent on durability though. I do carpentry, and a pair last me almost a year, with heavy use.

Pretty Good

Great shorter distance trail shoe. Very light. That said I've never felt as beat up and from running as I did when I ran a trail half with this shoe. But awesome for shorter runs + the grip is awesome.

Almost perfect

I own a pair of 11s. Was happy with them. Low drop, wide toe box.  The 12 narrowed the toe box significantly. Look more fashionable but don't fit.  Returned them.

New design doesn't work for me

Purchased a pair of PEREGRINE 12 Men's trail shoes.  I was extremely pleased with the traction & comfort, but after only using them for about 20, 5 KM walks the upper seam has pulled away (torn) from the lace eyelets.  Very disappointing as I really did love these shoes.

Disappointing Quality

Good solid base, but no support in the body of the shoe. It felt like I was standing on blocks with some thin fabric wrapped around my foot. I had to return them.
