This piece is heavy, beautiful and well-made. Good instructions, but it takes a couple of hours to build. It certainly doesn't look cheap. It looks like it came from a furniture store. The top raises and lowers very smoothly and has a high quality feel. The storage space beneath the lift-top is great for anything you use regularly, want to keep close at hand, yet out of sight. Glad we own it. Big fans of Sauder's high quality and great value.

Its solid and sturdy. Only thing I would suggest for the design is the lid almost fits perfectly onto the table base which means you have to watch your fingers. Would not recommend around children if they know how to raise and lower the table top.

Took about an hour to put together....love it!

Love it!

I am very happy with this coffee table. Being a woman 68 years of age, the thought of putting it together by myself was a bit scary.  Being the first thing I ever put together it took me a while, but the result was worth it.  I was able to understand the directions very well.  I am thinking about buying another one to use as a storage bench at the end of the bed.  I did not want a huge table, so this one really hit the mark.

Great Buy!

Last week I bought this item and I got this on my hand before 5 days ago . I am just surprised when I see this first time . Also I am really happy to using this also feeling proud .

Before ordering, I thought putting this coffee table together would be a nightmare.  But i was wrong!  All the pieces were accurately labeled and the directions were laid step by step for the non handy person to understand.  Also to mention, this does not use allen wrenches (which are awful).  All in all it only took about an 1.5 hours for assembly.

Amazing Expereince

I have the credenza, end tables and the night stands. This coffee table was my last piece.  They are solid heavy pieces of furniture. 
They will last for years to come.

Thought ithis would have a natural finish like the better homes and gardens cross mill collection

Livingroom table

Not long lasting. Of course, I've had it for three years, so consider that. But this year two edge pieces have broken off while simply moving the coffee table around in my living room just to vacuum. Also, it's a heavy piece of furniture. I don't love that, since it is a coffee table so it's not easy to clean around or love.

Not long lasting. But for the price…

I've had this coffee table for 6 months, and it's already falling apart and looks awful. With daily, but normal use, the surface veneer is bubbled up and scratched, even with the use of coasters. The front strips (which only attach by sliding together when you build the table) have bent and snapped off, as the particle board they're made with is very thin and soft. I'm incredibly disappointed with this purchase, and though it wasn't the most expensive of tables, I still anticipated an almost $200 purchase to at least hold up to its intended use for longer than half a year. What a complete waste of money. DO NOT PURCHASE!
