[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, this desk seems quite sturdy. The little bit of storage inside the desk is nice. It fits my needs perfectly.

I love this desk!  It looks great in my Key West dining room.  The desk (darker walnut color with black undertones) was packaged well and arrived early.  I wasn't sure about ordering furniture from Wal-Mart, but Wal-Mart's price was the best and I was desperate for a work space. 

I added a notched board (approx. 5 x 26), spray-painted dark brown, behind the drop portion to capture enough level space for a laptop and a printer.  

For easy hanging, take the "holey board" and place it on the wall (with a level on top) and color in the holes with a click-lead pencil (the elongated lead gets through the hole and reaches the wall to color your choice of 2 drill circles.)  No assembly!  You want the top of the desk at about 53.75 inches off the ground for a standard height desk of 30 inches.  If you need a little more storage, add a simple shelf under it for copy paper, etc. (I did an "under-shelf" in reclaimed wood, and even with it there's plenty of room to sit at the desk).  

This desk is great for small spaces and blends beautifully with a variety of wood tones.  You can decorate the top ledge, hide papers inside the cabinet, pin a picture ... and place the desk in any room.  

The retailer could sell add-ons, such as a notched expanding shelf and a separate under-shelf, in my opinion, because they're onto such a good thing here!
