I loved the table, it took me an hour and twenty minutes to put it together. I placed it in my living room since, I have better light to work on my projects. The trays are huge, a lot of space to store.it looks pretty fancy once is closed. I chose cherry cinnamon.

Great sewing and craft table

Since I moved to Florida, I had to downsize my sewing inventory. This cabinet is perfect for my small area. I was able to put it together in less than 4 hours. Liked the outcome. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Especially those of us who like to sew and have limited space. This product was made in the USA. Another reason I purchased it.

After reading the negative comments, I ordered this table with some reservation. It arrived quickly, and I assembled it that very day. I took the advise of one comment and paid a lot of attention to the details in the pictures. Took me, by myself, less than 2 hours to completely assemble, and that was with me watching a soap opera while assembling! Simple - simple! One of the easiest piece of furniture I have ever put together!

This table will be used to store my sewing machine and sewing projects. The side pockets/trays are perfect to store all my crochet hooks. (one comment said to just back the screws out and you can lift the trays on/off. They sit nicely on the table for easy access. Good idea and works great!)

PLUS, this table will be excellent for doing jigsaw puzzles on!!! No more taking up the dinning room table. I can roll the table to whatever room I want it in and I can leave the puzzle out and work on it whenever I have a spare moment. Soooooo cool!!

glad I purchased!

Dragging my machines and supplies to the kitchen table every time I had a sewing project was a pain. This cabinet looks great in my guest room. If my sewing machine is not sitting on the table top no one would know its actually a sewing center. I store my machine on the shelf underneath behind the swing door. My surger machine fits nicely in the cabinet to the right with two shelves to spare. The adjustable to width compartments for sewing supplies in the storage racks (x2) on the swinging door is awesome. Very handy to have all supplies within an arms reach. When the leaf is up there is plenty of work surface for projects even roomy enough to cut out patterns. Very nice quality and very functional as a sewing station/center. I assembled it by myself in 1 1/2 hour. Each piece was clearly marked making it a breeze to following and matching the instructions. Love it.

Love it.

This sewing table is awesome. My son put it together in about one hour and it is just the best addition to my sewing center. I love how it closes up for a tidy look and how large an area for sewing when open. Lots of space underneath, great little drawers for notions and three larger drawers on the right side. It serves my purpose and looks good for the money. I also own a white Sutter desk that matches nicely in the room.

I absolutely love this table! I have it set up in our living room in our one bedroom apartment so it's a cramped space and I have a small corner for my sewing. When this table is fully open I feel like I have my own custom made space compared to trying to sew on our ottoman. I got the dark wood so it matches the rest of our furniture and it's got beautiful markings and the knobs match wonderfully. The shelves and the organizing racks are great for me to be able to keep all of my things at an arms length with out having to search and dig. Mine did have a small dink in it and while I was putting it together it did bother me but now it's assembled I barely notice it. I assembled it myself and with the right space I was in it took me about 2 hours trying to figure out how to rotate everything so I had room to hammer. I recommend this for anyone especially people who don't have a lot of space, this has wheels so you can pull it out and open it and sew and then close it all up and roll it back!

Great sewing table especially for small rooms!

This is a great table. There are a lot of pieces that come with it. It definitely will take some time to put this together. On the left side of the table, you cannot put anything too heavy on it. The left side, when open, is only held with the door. I am leaving this open all the time, so I am choosing to build something to keep the support level on the left side. Overall, I am happy.

Very nice table. A lot of pieces!

I purchased this for storage and use of a portable sewing machine,and it arrived within a couple of days of purchase order.
The only defect was a chipped corner of one board, and , fortunately, that is not apparent on the assembled product. The only other problem I've encountered is with a small piece that stabilizes the drop leaf when it is raised. For some reason it does not consistently line up exactly with the hole it must insert into, requiring some extra manipulation.
Although I have always been very handy, the weight of this product and its pieces made handling it alone difficult for me -- especially when some steps required changing position of the partially-assembled product. Because of this, it took me a few exhausting hours to complete assembly, although the instructions were better than those I've had to follow for many other products.
I am able to store all the items I usually keep at my sewing machine site, and find the special shelves exposed when the double door is open very handy for holding frequently used items, including "reading" glasses.
I like being able to store my machine on the hidden shelf behind the closed double doors, and can even fit a narrow waste basket there, as well. There is good stability for sewing; but, having no other choice in my home, I have this unit on carpeting that makes the rolling of such a heavy unit another hefty effort. And the rolling is needed in order to gain the room needed to raise the drop leaf. I expect this would be much easier on a non-carpeted floor, or, obviously, if I had a site to place it where there was sufficient space at left of cabinet so moving wouldn't be needed when raising the drop leaf.
One other thing I like about this unit is that, due to the cabinet on the right side, the way I'm situated for sewing (and, therefore, the position of the machine) allows for more table-top space to the right side of the machine than I've had with previous sewing cabinets. I'm finding it easier to keep pins, scissors, etc. at hand without them becoming an entangled pile.
I've only been using the unit for about a week, so I don't know how well it will hold up. The only thing I'm actually concerned about, after having seen the chipped piece, is whether the finish will crack or chip over time. Otherwise, I can say that I'm pleased with the purchase.
I find it helpful to read other consumers' pros and cons about products and would appreciate if you'd indicate whether my comments have been helpful to you.

Nice design for sewing center

We ordered this cabinet site to store, took it home and discovered a crack in one of the particle board pieces (piece A). These things happen- so we reordered the cabinet, again, site to store. Before we left the site to store desk we asked to open the new one to inspect it before we would leave the store and discovered the same piece (piece A) was cracked in the box on the second cabinet we ordered as well. At that point, we returned both and decided to look elsewhere for a sewing cabinet. We have purchased a lot of Sauder furniture over the years and never had any issues. However, if these units cannot even survive shipment without damage, I was worried it would not be a durable piece for long term use in my home.

Bad Experience

I ordered this for my wife as a Christmas present as she sews often. I had it shipped to my home. It arrived with two broken pieces. Sauder was great about sending replacements. One of the two replacement pieces arrived with a big scratch in it. I did not want to wait another two weeks for a replacement, so I put the thing together. It's made predominantly of particle board with a veneer. It's pretty once its put together, but I am not confident that it will hold up to several years of use. The wood parts are fine. The particle board parts are a bit flimsy. The holes for the hardware are not always spaced quite right and will take some "creative engineering" to work around. It's not a piece of fine furniture, but you can't expect that at this price.
