I got this for my son.  He put it together without any problems.  For the money it is a outstanding product.  If someone was looking at it they would think it was more expensive than it is.  Also bought the nightstand.  If you were looking for something to put in an extra bedroom, this would do nicely.

We bought a complete set of this, including chest, 2 night stands, desk and tv stand.  This was 10 years ago when our son moved to our bonus room as his bedroom.  It has held up so well that when we needed an inexpensive chest for our cabin. After looking for a wood chest and finding the price outweighed what we needed I turned to Sauder again.  We got the same model in the oak color this time.  We only had 1 hole that did not line up 100%.  I think there was a change on the anti tip feature as it works on this one much better than the one in our sons room.  We now have the chest in a bedroom and already had a bookcase and corner tv stand at the cabin by Sauder.  We love the pricing on furniture that is ample for our needs.

It looks super beautiful and elegant in my living room but took a while to assemble its also very well for those who have children you know how mucho they love to touch everything and this one locks all the drawer when one is already open so i would100% recommended as a great furniture

Very elegant

Our teenage daughter's room is very small and we are on a tight budget, so we were looking for inexpensive furniture with plenty of storage space, without the furniture looking too juvenile. We bought the Sauder Shoal Creek Soft White armoire, four drawer chest, mates bed, and bookcase headboard. We are pleased with all of this furniture. It is a very good value. Granted it's not high-grade fine furniture; but for the price we paid, it is great! The four-drawer chest provides lots of storage space and looks great, too. It took some time and effort to assemble, but it is worth the time and effort! Overall we are very pleased with this purchase!

Great Product for the Price

This wasn't the first piece of furniture that I have assembled, so this one was fairly simple. Everything in the box was in perfect condition except one of the back legs was broken. It's on it's way right now, just like customer service told me. The drawer adjustments were easy to do and I don't see how this could be a difficult assembly if you follow the directions. The only thing that could be done to make it easier, would be to segregate the different types of hardware, instead of dumping them all in one bag. At least there wasn't any shortage of hardware.

A nice basic 4 drawer chest

It came on the day it was promised to arrive.  Good.  Packed well with extra heavy cardboard corners on the outside of the box.  Good.  Every part was in the box.  Good.   All undamaged and in perfect condition (I think the outside extra corners helped with damage control).   My 12 year old son and I put it together in 2.5 hours.  They ask you NOT to use an electric screwdriver.  That is ok because all of the screws went in very easily for us.  All of the screws and hardware come in one bag.  I suggest that you separate all hardwood on a tray before starting the assembly.  Made it much easier for us.   No glue needed.  Drawers worked well and the color of the unit (oak) is exactly like it shows in the photo.  All good!    Don't expect pure solid hardwood here, but for the price, it was a great buy.  IF all of those things come together for you, I am sure you will be happy you purchased it.

This dresser is gorgeous. The color is a little bit darker than the photo.
The directions could be more specific. The components were not labeled so it was a little tricky figuring out which piece was which. Though if you take your time and really look at everything you'll get it. It took my brother and I about 2 hours to put it together. We took our time to really match everything up.
I love this dresser I really do. I can't wait to buy the larger one.
My favorite feature is the drawer catch. You can't have more than one drawer open at a time. This is to keep kids (and adults) from having the dresser topple over on top of them. Brilliant safety feature.
Aside from figuring out which piece is which, this is super easy to put together. No major tools needed. You'll need a hammer or mallet and a screw driver. That's it. It'll be even easier if you have 2 people to put it together.

Gorgeous dresser, confusing to put together

I love this dresser but as I was assembling it, bottom drawer is messed up. Now I have a brand new dresser but not in a good shape and I payed over $200

I purchased the 3 piece bedroom set for my 4 year old daughter as a Christmas gift, as she had out grown her toddler bed. The reviews I read seemed great and led me to feel confident enough to make the purchase however, the quality and sturdiness of the dresser is very poor and the set did not come with all the screws for the dresser draws, so now I am going to Home Depot to get screws. The wood is made extremely cheaply and continued to chip apart as her father and I tried to set it up. The first dresser drawer did not contain the 3 seperate compartments as advertised. Don't waste your money, buy a higher quality dresser or bed room set.

Don't Waste Your Money!

I bought two of these chests. They do "look" nice; however they both broke apart while putting them together. They are made from pressboard and one slight twist of a screw too tight or move of the chest makes it break apart. Would not recommend this chest.
