I purchased this chest for my shoes to keep my dog from eating them. This means that I needed a nice looking chest as it would be in my front room. I was very pleased with the style and functionality. It was very easy to put together and is beautiful. No one can tell its a stash box for our shoes and I no longer have to search the backyard for my half eaten footwear. I would highly recommend this item. Good value

I love this chest. It's the perfect size, and holds quite a bit. I chose the oak color, and it goes well with my existing bedroom furniture. It was a dream to assemble ... all the holes were in the right place, and all of the hardware came with the unit. Lovely piece!

Perfect size, easy to assemble

I ordered this chest to have extra toy storage in our den and its perfect! Not too big and not too small.  Sturdy enough for what we are using it for and we love the hinge inside that keeps the lid up while out 16 mos. old son is hunting through it for his favourite toy, and it prevents the lid from slamming down on tiny fingers and heads. We are defintly satisfied with this purchase. Wasnt too hard to assemble either. I did it myself while husband was at work and the only thing that prevented me from completing it faster than i did...about 45 minutes...was the fact that our baby son wanted to 'help" Mommy and kept hiding pieces on me.  The screws,etc came in a separate handy pac that helps keep small parts out of small mouths too!

Great little 'SAFE FOR KIDS' toychest!

I am a widow (76 of age) very healthy....I looked at the boxes (3) and wondered if I would be able to do this. I have accomplished it. It was easy as long as you follow the directions step by step. No problems...

I bought this to use at the foot of my bed, to hold shoes and slippers. It works great for that purpose and has quite a bit of space inside. The specs say that it holds 125 lbs. I weigh 155 and sit on it to put my shoes on with no problem at all. I won't try standing in the middle of the lid, but it's pretty sturdy. An experienced handy-man took about 1 1/2 hrs to put it together, breaks included. It might be too tall to be a toy box for a small child, but it would be great for blankets or other items. The lid stays up and you must manually close it. Convenient. Clean looking. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but so far I am very pleased.

Lots of Storage space, looks nice

It took my husband and i about 45mins to put this together but we are not handy people. The directions were easy to understand and everything fit together perfectly. The chest is a good size, we wanted it for extra blankets and they all fit inside. I only wish they offered this in a bigger size, that way we could fit more storage.

great product

I am very, very pleased with this product which I have in my bathroom. It looks great and serves the purpose! The only drawback is that is was a bit difficult to assemble. Otherwise, I have absolutely no reservations regarding the purchase of this item.

Storage Chest

This storage bench fit my needs for storing sheets, pillows, and comforters - although limited. Sadly, the measurements are a bit deceiving - the inside is not as deep as you would originally believe it to be. It's only 12 inches deep. :(

Fit my needs

Overall I am pleased with this chest as it is very attractive and has the features we were looking for however the storage compartment is smaller than I anticipated, since it has a decorative piece underneath which eats up storage space.

Overall good chest but small

This may sound odd but I purchased this product to create a hidden litter box. I also had purchased a white one for storage. The dimensions were very important because my cats are not small so imagine my surprise when I assembled the white one to find out that the inside height was only 12"!!!! I knew there was no way my cats would fit inside this one (Jamocha) to do their business. Their current covered cat box is 18". Soooo... I'm taking it back! Never opened this one (because I had assembled the white one for pillows and sheets - which I am keeping.) Instead I purchased a hidden litter box already made into one. I'm a DIY person and enjoy doing that stuff so I was a bit disappointed. Fortunately, the hidden litter box that I did find was only a few bucks more than this bench! Yaaaay for me!
