The ScarAway Silicone medical grade gel is a great alternative to using the Silagen Scar Gel that is sold online at cosmetic surgery centers and dermatology offices. I use a combination of red-light therapy and this gel to help with my mastopexy and extended abdominoplasty incisions. When I ran out of the ScarAway gel and could not find any at stores I made the mistake of purchasing Target's version of Maderna...I will never do that again! It looked like someone lit my incisions on fire, because they were beat red. As long as I can keep purchasing the ScarAway gel I will continue to stick with what works best. A pea-sized amount of this gel goes a long way with a few of my incisions. The one for the extended abdominoplasty takes almost three pea-sized applications.

I had basal cell carcinoma on the tip of my nose, on the side. I had one huge deep pass. As anyone who has ever had this surgery would know that means that they only had to cut the parameters one time. It took six weeks roughly for mine to heal. I chose to leave it and not get stitches or a graft. I am very pleased. After the wound was completely healed. I started massaging this on it two times daily after cleaning. You can barely tell that I ever had surgery! 
There are so many potions, lotions, and gels on the market. Most of them are so expensive! I did buy one of the top notch recommended brands and I'm telling you this worked equally as well and actually I think it may have worked a little bit better! Save yourself some money and buy this instead.

Scar Away Advanced Skin Care is great for scars. I would recommend it 100%. The tube of ointment is very small, but you don't need a whole lot to apply on the scarred area of the skin. A little dab each time you use it.

the fact that it totally helps smokers lines around the mouth

I used it on my hand where I had a cancer removed.  There were 8 stitches and 
left a lumpy scar. This product has helped to leave the site fairly smooth.

this little cream does wonders My daughter had herself by accident made a very deep cut He's used this product a little bit and her cut is almost gone you can hardly say it's there I recommend this for anybody it seems to do the job

I was using the much pricier Biocorneum when I was advised by my doctor that the ScarAway brand is equal, except it doesn't include the benefits of a sunscreen. So for any hidden scars, especially those that are hidden in the colder months, this is a great money saver. It doesn't spread as well and I actually went back to my more expensive cream. Also, this is advertised as being a 3 month supply. It lasted me a few weeks. You would have to have a mini scar the size of a bug bite for this product to last 3 months.

I wouldn't recommend this. This is basically hype more than anything else; plus, for even the slightest difference, you'd have to wear it everyday for months, and even then it might just be slight fading. Silicone gel works best for raised scars, hypertrophic scars. On the face, the gel would definitely be better than the sheets. However, the gel is not doing anything significant, and I would recommend instead hydrocolloid (pimple patches) for small facial scars.

Skincare 100 Percent Medical Grade Silicone was okay. I used three tubes of it. It didn't make my scar completely disappear, but I guess it didn't hurt to use it either. I'm not mad I tried it, just didn't get the wow results I hoped for.
