The tough guy facade falls apart normally when shaving until now. Normally I would not shave daily due to my dry skin and sensitive face, with my Schick hydro dry skin razor I can do that without a problem. My face gets so dried out normally but the special Japanese oil in the blade I get all the moisture I need. I definitely recommend this blade to everyone who needs a great shave and has dry skin. I also like this it comes with multiple cartridges in the value pack, so it feels worth it. Overall it's a solid razor that gets the job done and leaves my skin feeling smooth.

Smooth shave without irritation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Schick Hydro 5 for my daily shave and it's a total game-changer for dry skin. The razor glides smoothly without any irritation, and the hydrating gel reservoirs really make a difference in how my skin feels afterward. It's very easy to handle, durable, and gives a close, clean shave every time. Definitely one of the best razors I've tried.

Schick Hydro 5 Dry Skin Razor

I'll start this by saying that the blades on the hydro dry skin cartridges are great. The problem is the "hydro pods" on the lubricating strip. It is too much of a good thing. The pods secrete such a thick, goopy mess that the blades slide over areas of your face without cutting hair. If you are an everyday or every other day shaver with average to thin hair this razor isn't a good match. If you have several days growth or coarse hair the goopy moisturization may not impede your shave. A neat feature is the ability to flip back the top portion of the razor to make the head smaller to get into hard to reach areas (under the nose, etc) - I  actually flip the top back for my whole shave now to avoid the uber lubrication of the strip. I get a good shave with this hack. However, I will not continue to use this razor because it is silly to buy expensive cartridges when you have to disable one of the main features to get the shave you want. I found the blades on this razor marginally better than Harry's and easier to rinse but the hydro pods didn't work for me. Probably a good razor for those who have alot of growth or coarse hair as the blades are high quality. If I could use half stars I would say a 3.5 is my most accurate rating.  --ADDENDUM to my review. After using the schick hydro for a while now I no longer dislike the lubricating pods. They lessen a bit after a couple of shaves and I will wipe away any excess if I feel my shave is getting too slick. These are excellwnt blades and last longer than Harry's did for me. These blades provide a smooth and efficient shave and no irritation. Probably the best multiblade system I have used.

The lubrication gel pools are a total game-changer; they provide a smooth glide that significantly reduces irritation, even on my sensitive skin. The comfort during the shave is outstanding, and the overall build of the razor feels sturdy and premium. Maintenance is easy as the blades rinse clean quickly. It's a high-quality product that makes my morning routine much more enjoyable!

Smooth shave with zero irritation!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay. So these are my thoughts on this blade or shaver. It was very interesting. The blade was sharp. The coverage was good. The lubrication was weird. So one thing I noticed is every time I remove the blade from my face there was like this goo. I'm assuming that's for lubrication, which I get. But just visually, it was a little Weird.  I think my biggest gripe is. It didn't have that edger on it that a lot of the other shafers do.

Razor sharp

The five blades give a close, clean shave w/o tugging, and I really appreciate the built-in moisturizing feature - it actually leaves my skin feeling less tight and irritated afterward. The handle has a confortable grip and feels sturdy in my hand.

good razzer

I was hoping the blades were the regular old schick hydro 5s that I used to get from years ago. These particular blades gave me multiple cuts, not like previous years. Did something change?

Where are the blades from years ago?

The razors had barely any gel material in the tops of the razors. The quality continues to get poorer. I have been using this type of razor since they came out well over 15-20 years ago. I used to swear by them, but they just aren't good any longer. I will likely cancel and switch brands.
