Anyone visiting the farm has to go past the dog kennel where the golden retrievers live. The golden retriever mom and her puppy live here. Cozy! The kennel is painted red with a gray roof. Windows on the side let in plenty of light. When they don't have to keep watch, the two four-legged friends have plenty of time to chew on their bone. Wonderful! This schleich® product belongs to the FARM WORLD theme world and is suitable for children aged 3 years and over. schleich® products inspire the imagination and guarantee an educationally valuable play experience full of adventure. schleich® products inspire the imagination and guarantee an educationally valuable play experience full of adventure.

Love that the golden retrievers are a bit smaller in size to match to scale with the cows and horses. I have an older golden retriever from Schleich and it is much larger. So it's great that they changed it. I love that the dog house matches the red barn set too.

Love this! It's so cute!

Granddaughter was very excited with this until we put the doghouse together. The roof doesn't stay on and is easily knocked off. I'll have to glue it on because it derails playtime trying to keep it assembled for her.

Needs improvement

The dogs are cute, but the house isn't fun to play with because the roof doesn't attach and is constantly getting knocked off. I've given my kids many Schleich gift sets over the years that have worked out great, but I regret this purchase.

The roof is a major flaw

It is smaller than I imagined it would be from the picture. That wouldn't be a major issue if the roof attached to the dog house. It seems like a serious flaw. What child doesn't pick up a toy to play with it? There are no instructions, nor is there an obvious list of the contents to verify whether the roof issue is intentional or a part is missing. This is a lot of money for such a poorly thought out toy. It is cute though.

Cute, but not very functional or fun

Schleich Dog Kennel Plastic Playset red dog kennel with removable gray roof, front-facing toy shelter holding a golden retriever mom and puppy, side panel opened to show two integrated windows and a chew bone, FARM WORLD toy farm playset suitable for ages 3+.
