I recently decided to turn my basement into a home gym. I had the weights and strength equipment, so this bike was a nice addition. Both me and my boyfriend created our own profiles to track our workouts. The programs that are already loaded are great when I want to mix it up without having to change the resistance myself. #sweepstakes

Great bike for Home Gym

Phenomenal bike. I have used around 15 different recumbent bicycles and this is by far the smoothest and most quiet I have tried. I am an avid athlete and find the levels very challenging so I get a great workout. The fan is huge as I am in hot weather. Thanks for building such a great bike.

You bet I would!

Works really well, once it's put together. It was hard to get everything lined up and all the electrical connections made. It took two people to finally get it set up.

Good machine at a base price!

The bicycle is intuitive to learn how to use. Because I am tehnologically challenged, I have yet to fully program the machine. But it works just fine through manual adjustments.

I would definitely purchase this product again.

We are using the bike usually everyday.. it's very easy to use and very quite.. The only thing is that we both slid down the seat while cycling..

I'm trying to strengthen my weak heart. Very handy to have it in the living room as I watch TV or talk on phone. A grip pad on seat is helpful to prevent sliding forward #sweepstakes

i would buy this bike again

My husband and I use the bike for a workout that is easy on our joints but gives us the benefit of fairly intensive exercise. It is comfortable and easy to use. We leave it set up in a spare bedroom and it doesn't take up much room at all.

An excellent product for the money

Wish seat was padded. Would have had to pay an extra 100 or so for the app connection and padded seat. Asked rep if I could purchase seat seperate and was told they didnt know. Would also be nice if monitor lit up. Happy it plugs in to avoid batteries, very quiet.

I would buy again

Heart rate monitor does not work correctly. Gives inconsistent readings that do not match other heart monitors I use. Instruction manual almost impossible to understand. But bike is comfortable, quiet.

Pros and Cons

After more than 8 years of using the Schwinn SR23 we wore out pedals, the seat and seat adjustment pin riding. We have been Schwinn Fans. We thought that the Schwinn 230 would be a nice upgrade. We are extremely disappointed. The Seat adjustment is much easier, but the old SR23 had a nicely padded seat that fit both my wife and I. We both could ride for an hour with no problem. The 230 has a hard plastic seat with ridges that hit us differently. My wife will no longer ride. The pedals are much cheaper and narrow. The display has no backlight and is harder to read. The specs to do not reveal these weaknesses. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL.
