I bought this bike to help me get in shape for a walking vacation. The first night, I barely lasted five minutes. Now I look forward to (YES! Really!) sitting down each evening to cycle while I watch an episode of something on Netflix. The time flies by, I am getting a great cardio workout, I am getting stronger and more toned, I don't have to leave the house AND I can still pet the dog. This is what I've needed my whole life! Thank you, Schwinn!

I am changing my life with this bike!

Johnson Brands

This is a great bike - sturdy and quiet. Makes me sweat! Three things that could be better: the plastic housing around the wheel could be sturdier, especially because it's natural to put your feet on it when taking a break (and/or tying your shoes); the straps on the foot pads could be bigger; the user interface could be more intuitive/understanding.

This is a great bike!

Need to do aerobic exercise post cardiac rehab after a heart attack and stent. I am 76 years old and find this easy to use.

I would buy thus again

Really have no complaints other than the holder for kindles is to small/skinny. It needs to be bigger like the older models were.

I would buy this product again

I bought this bike to help with my mobility issues and to improve my overall health. The only improvement I wish it had was a vertical seat adjustment which would have helped me avoid a lot of pain when I first get on the machine. I have end stage osteoarthritis and have lost a lot of range of motion in my knees. I have raised the seat by adding a lot of additional padding. It helps but could be a lot better if the seat were adjustable. I force myself to start peddling and it gets less painful as the minutes go by. I hope to improve my ROM over time. The bike is quiet and smooth otherwise. I'm a 74 year old woman and was able to assemble the bike by myself easily. It's a great product. #sweepstakes

Easy to assemble by myself

We have it set up in the basement. There are no windows, but plenty of ceiling lights. We can't read the display because it doesn't light up. We have to keep a flashlight on the bike so we can read the display. Annoying.

Dark display

The built in Programs are nice & make it easy to select one that fits your energy level and/or fitness level. Have not tried to use the Manual mode. The built-in heart monitor doesn't work well (compared to FitBit data & other heart rate info from other equipment).

Seems to be well made with slight issues

Completely unhappy with the seat. I'm very surprised that Schwinn would make this so uncomfortable and hard especially if you're recovering from surgery or people that are older. There's no way that people would sit on this and be comfortable.

Bike good-Seat totally uncomfortable!

schwinn-fitness

I've been using the bike a few times a week for about a month now. About every 15 seconds I have to shift back in the seat because I just keep sliding forward. But my biggest complaint, is that the default levels are actually very hard and I basically find myself turning it to one of the lowest levels. I replaced another Schwinn recumbent with this one and this one just seems to be a lot more stiff. My only other complaints are that the display is to dim, and when the workout is done, there is no audible signal, so if you are reading a book or watching something on your phone, which covers the display, you never know that you finished

It's ok

I will have to modify the seat. I am tending to slide forward, and will need to do something with foam to eliminate that rendency.

Fine, except tendency to slide forward off seat.

Beware! While assembly is not too bad, the product looks and feels cheap. Then we turned it on only to discover the lowest resistance setting or any resistance setting is a high resistance setting. Its the weekend so I have yet to discover what adventures await me with Schwinn customer service and if they come through for us in a reasonable amount of time, I will happily revise my review.

Brand new - resistance messed up
