I use quite a few electronic items from dash cameras to cell phones (not as I'm driving) gps items that use rechargeable batteries. It really comes in handy on the longer trips. Boxing it came in was good which to me is one sign of a good product. I can actually recommend to a friend or family member

This device is great for my Son and I when we travel and need power to charge our devices. With is this device you don't need to pull over at a rest stop just to charge your laptop or whatever because this will do it for you...

But this SCOSCHE 200W Mobile Power Inverter is much nicer and much more powerful!!!
So yes... Much nicer!!! Highly recommend the 200W!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Scosche 200W Mobile Power Inverter is a great little inverter for running low voltage appliances (less than 200 watts) through a 12 volt system (like your car battery or a 12 volt power pack.) It's very compact size is ideal for stowing away in a backpack, a tool bag, or in the glove box of your vehicle. (I use a small zip pouch bag to store it, along with the accompanying 12v power cord plug.) It comes with three 3-prong standard 120v outlets and four 1A USB ports. I've used this when car camping to run a small 60watt electric lantern and to charge my cell phone. I've plugged it in directly to a spare 12v car battery (alligator clips to the battery terminals with female connector) and have also used a 12 volt power pack. On one home project I connected a rotary tool to the inverter, rather than running a 50 foot extension cord; power pack-to inverter-to rotary tool...easy, portable, and quick! Would've been nice if a small protective pouch came with the unit, but not a deal breaker. Excellent plastic housing; fit and finish are above average. Just remember no to exceed the total 200 wattage limit when connecting more than one appliance to the inverter.

Unlike the others that plug directly in to the power outlet and hang there this unit has a cord which allows you to be in more control of where to place your needed power connections. It is a very intelligent design and you can tell a lot of thought went in to where to place the ports. I have used it to power two phones and a Chromebook with no issues. Not to mention it still had two USB and two 120v AC plugs left to spare so I could have been running even more! The ports are nice and tight so your cords don't fall out. I really like the power button which allows me to turn it off while not having to unplug it which is a very convenient feature. I sit in my car with my son at college to do homework between classes and this new device really makes it easy to use things we never would have without it. I can already see how great this is going to be while camping too.

You can plug several devices in at once, and they don't have to be designed for mobile use. It's as though you're plugging them right into a wall. What the devices don't know, won't hurt them. If you are like who is constantly traveling for business, then this is a must in your car, although is a little on the bigger size, it is a power inverter I will not change for anything else. While traveling, you can easily use power cable to switch the inverter off your car's 12 volt power outlet. One of the greatest features of this Schosche PI200PS 200W Mobile Power Inverter is the ability it gives you to charge up to 7 devices, that alone is amazing. I constantly use this to charge my laptop, personal cell phone and business cell phone. It is a power inverter I will not trade for any other inverters. Highly recommend.

While this works, it has a noisy fan. It's as loud as the AC of the car. Personally, I prefer a quieter car ride.
