If you could post a video about changing the rolls of laminating sheets, I'd really appreciated it! I tried looking for one on youtube.

I have used this laminator at a previous employment and loved it so I ordered one for my new office.  However, when I first tried to use it, a small metal spring fell out of it.  I can't tell where it goes, but the unit seems to be working.  Is there a diagram to show where this spring should go?

I've been using the Scotch Heat Free Laminating System for years. Its so easy to use because it is manual, no electricity is needed. I don't have to wait for my laminator to heat up. Plus you can laminate many different sizes even extra long banners then trim to fit.

I was giving the laminator by my daughter. I did not know what to expect but it has perfromed as expected. So easy to use and it works. WOW. I am in the process of ordering my first new roll of laminating material.

Laminating made Easy

I needed to laminate the covers for the second paperback book I'm self-publishing...8-1/2 x 14-1/2 inches (front, back, spline) -- so legal-sized pouches were out.  (Acrylic varnish worked to waterproof and shine-up the first book covers because they were printed in dark tones edge-to-edge.)  I came across this machine and decided to give it a try.  I also liked that it worked cold and not hot.  So...I print up and assemble two covers with waste space on the ends in an arrangement that measures 8-1/2 x 16 inches, place them back-to-back "outsides out", and tape them together at the ends.  I run them through the laminator and snip-off the ends to separate the two now-laminated covers.  A little trimming...and perfecto!  NO WRINKLES.  I'm only giving it 4-STARS because I did have to go through about 6 or 7 feet of the 18-foot roll that came with the machine before I got it to not wrinkle.  I had to figure out how to get the film going so that it wouldn't wrinkle...and once I did...it's worked perfectly since for 6 covers.  I decided the machine would work, so I bought a refill -- we'll see how quickly I can get it "rolling" once I use up the starter roll (I'm guessing 6 more covers...three runs).  Also...they do not go through the laminator precisely at a right angle, but it's close enough that no side edge of the cardstock is left without film on it.  My guess is that I'll just need to be diligent to ensure that it's as perfectly lined-up as I can humanly get it each time I start to cranking.  With the right equipment AND patient attention to detail...my books are looking every bit as good as those produced by professional "self publishing" shops -- at a fraction of the price for the 100-200 I'm expecting to do.  If demand drives me to need past 1000...I'll probably go the whole "professional" route including ISBN's for "books in print" listing and widespread availability.  Have fun!

I just bought this and it's easy enough but it makes my documents curl making them useless

My small department has this, and I'm the "go-to gal" for all machine issues. I have to sit in my office countless times with scissors, paperclips, wipes, and anger to clean the rollers on this thing because it's so poorly designed. You'll end up with sticky streaks on all rollers and both ends, causing it to catch right when you have an important document. You can't take it apart from what I can tell... I've tried. Just normal use causes these streaks, and it's the most asinine design I've ever seen.

The laminator cartridges are impossible to replace. I have wasted 2 cartridges so far trying to get it to work.  I am calling the 800 number now.

Social Engagement 

The machine regularly wrinkles the lamination so that it is both unprofessional and unusable.  We have wasted as much as we have saved using this.
We MISS our old Brother laminater that worked beautifully!

You Don't Even Get What You Pay For!

I can't figure out how to replace the cartridge and can't find a video or proper instructions anywhere. I am very disappointed.
