I purchased Scotchguard Fabric & Upholstery Protector to use on a tote bag that my daughter had made for me with my 4 grandchildren on it. Before I started using it I sprayed it inside & out w/ several THIN coats to ensure even & the best coverage. The photo I've attached is after a couple of months use. My tote still looks like new & it is used daily! I have used Scotchguard thru the years & am never disappointed!

I am a fiber artist who makes one-of-a-kind handwoven necklaces that I sell at a local art gallery in central Pennsylvania. I always apply a coating of Scotchgard (TM) Fabric Protector for Fabric & Upholstery before selling them. The art gallery was flooded on September 7, 2011. The high water line was approximately 5-1/2 foot. I had 9 necklaces on consignment in the gallery at the time of the flood. After the waters receded, there was 2 inches of mud on the floor and the hutch where my necklaces were displayed had been knocked over by the water, completely immersing my necklaces in the flood waters. Due to road conditions, I could not get down to save them for over 24 hours and they had already dried somewhat. I immediately washed them in soapy water and laid them flat to dry. One of the necklaces was woven of a white angora-type thread. None of my necklaces suffered any discernable damage but I was particularly impressed by the condition of the white necklace. There were no mud stains at all on any of the necklaces and I can only attribute it to your product since mud damage was prevalent on the clothing being sold in the same store. Although I will not be selling these necklaces after this incident happened to them, I can at least keep them for personal wear. I did not have insurance for this so I am happy to not have a total loss. I am a customer for life. Thank you Scotchgard for making such a great product. I am attaching a picture of 8 of the 9 necklaces AFTER the flood and one of the white necklace BEFORE the flood for comparison.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a pretty expensive sofa and loveseat and when both my daughter and daughter in law became pregnant about the same time i was concerned somewhat about baby proofing my home, in the thought proccess i decided to baby proof my sofa and loveseat, I am SO Thankful for Scotchgard Fabric & Upholstery Protector, my grandsons are 1 now and Scotchgard has saved my upholstery many times in this 1st year and i know i don't ever have to worry about them surviving these 2 special little boys. My furniture has been thru it all in a year and still looks brand new and I couldn't be happier. Thanks Scotchgard!!

Grandbaby Proof

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product so much! My husband and I did our own DIY upholstered bench project with fabric that we purchased at the fabric store. I am so glad that we were not limited by the selection of fabric because I knew that what ever fabric we chose could be sprayed with Scotch-Guard Spray. We created a beautiful seating banquette for our kitchen and thanks to Scotchguard Fabric and Upholstery Protector, it has stayed beautiful!

A Must Have for Anyone with Kids or Animals

I love this.
We used to have a bar stool with micro fiber, and used other brand protective spray. It didn't work.
With 3 young kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats... the stain is getting worse. I tried multiple way to clean it and protect it again...nope still not working.
So we tossed those bar stools, and bought new one. This one (I am not sure what we were thinking) has a suede cushion...
I just have to buy  those, until we got home and I was thinking....ohhh.ccccccr** 
We look online and this product has pretty good review from Walmart, Lowes, and Amazon.
I sent my husband to Walmart since it's the closest store and cheaper.
We used it on our bar stools... and we wait... and wait... and wait..
It's been several weeks with kids using the counter daily for eating and art

Fabric protective spray that really protect

I purchased Scotchgard Fabic and Upholstery Protector and did my two new chairs with it. The can says it will do 2 chairs or one sofa, giving two applications, but I would plan on two cans if your items are large. I do have better than half a can left for later usage. You can't beat the Walmart price- best around. One thing, I could not find this product in the two Walmart stores I tried. One was a super store. Both stores say they have it but were out of it when I shopped. I had to purchase on line, which was fine, with good delivery but shipping did cut into the price saving. No order on line and pickup at store was offered.

good product

I have never used Scotch Gard before. I purchased a white sofa and chair after the first of the year. I was really nervous when my grands came to visit. I remembered reading a review of the chair by a lady who stated she had protected her chair with two light coats of Scotch Gard. I purchased 4 cans and following the directions on the can gave each piece two coats of protection. The grands have visited, even had Halloween candy and I have found no traces of the goodies on the furniture. Thank you Scotch Gard for giving me peace of mind to enjoy my company while still enjoying my beautiful white furniture.

Great protection for light colored furniture.

Just purchased a pushback recliner from Wal-Mart. Very nice material. Looks like faux leather, but it is mainly polyester material. Tested for color fast on an area under chair. No color wiped off onto white cloth after immediate heavy spray applied.

Just finished heavy single coat on the chair from top to bottom. Did it outside on patio because of odor of spray. Do Not use product in your house without good ventilation. You will cause yourself health issues. Worked great. 

Needed 2 full cans and it took about 2 1/2 hrs to dry. Checked it after dry time. Used several drops of water. They beaded and wiped off with no stains or bad side effects. A++++ results.

Great Protectant spray for real life use.

I've used Scotchguard on everything I care about (clothes, upholstery etc.) for 20 years or more.  I spray clothes when they come out of the dryer or back from the cleaners. Dirt that collects in the seams of light colored garments comes out keeping the garment looking new for decades.  Oxiclean White Revive eliminates yellowing or graying in whites before I use Scotchguard. I buy 12 cans at a time to be sure I get the best price and always have plenty on hand.

Scotchguard is an investment

I have always used Scotchguard Protectant in all my new vehicles over the past three decades. Never fails to keep spills from soaking into the upholstery. Gives you time to mop up that spilt coffee or coke. Even makes it easy to wipe off or vacuum off any dirt. Just try it, if you have not already. (Oh, works on old upholstery too).

The Best!

We sprayed the protector to keep from having spills absorbed. I couldn't tell the difference from where it was sprayed and not sprayed.
