Building a thick, healthy, green lawn starts with Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed This natural, pre-emergent weed seed inhibitor contains 100% corn gluten meal to help keep annoying weeds like dandelion and crabgrass from taking root. Corn gluten works by absorbing water needed for new seeds and starving weed seeds of their resources. Plus, corn gluten contains nitrogen that is crucial for helping your existing grass thrive in the areas where weeds could take root. For best results, apply before weeds appear, usually in early Spring and again in late Summer or early fall. Ideal for established perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass lawns. Because, corn gluten works by dehydrating seeds, we recommend not using on newly seeded lawns or when over-seeding or re-sodding. So hit potential weeds with a one-two punch this year by trying Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed.

Great product

I am a landscaper use at the right time this product is very effective, note that this product must be applied as soon as the temperature reaches 14 degree after melting snow (quebec) has 14 degree the seeds begin to germinate, then if you wait to put this fertilizer it is too late the seeds of digitaire have already started to germinate, I treat the lawns in spring when the weather announces 12 degree for 4-5 day April or May is the degree that you must check not forget that this product do not you the digitaire but the ache to germinate is to treat the seeds and not the plant 3 years of treatment eliminates your digitaire but if your neighbor does not treat and they they have it will come back so you will have to treat at each spring. p.s when your neighbor tons his lawn not treat it to send it to the turf They are air-borne and can come from far away.

Wonderful if applied at the right time

Ive used this product for a fee years and in a sea of dandelions on every lawn my lawn is has none. Peoples are not using this right and either did I the first time. You have to put it in early spring BEFORE the dandelions come out. If your lawn is a bit li long birds cant see it buried. Read the directions! This product is foolproof

Excellent Product !

I am in my 2nd year of applying the Scott's turf builder weed & feed and I think it works great. I applied last spring, late fall and agin this spring. This is the fewest dandelion I have ever had. The product gets a bad wrap, but it never claims to kill weeds. So if you're using it with that intent then you will be disappointed. It also states that any weeds that have germinated will not be affected. If you follow the directions and understand how it works it's a fantastic product. I will definitely use it for the foreseeable future.

It does what it says.

I purchased the weed and feed with corn gluten. The instructions say to use a 15 settings...which is wide open. I did the perimeter at 15 and then dialed back to 7.5.
I used a full bag to do about 400 square feet. No way you can get 1000sqft with a 15 settings. I hope my lawn isn't damaged.

Coverage over stated.

ScottsMiracle-Gro

Weeds alive and well

I bought this product last July from Costco . I did not use it till about April of this year , because I still had the Scott fall lawn feed which I finished in fall of 2023. Fast forward may 2024 , it's been 5 weeks since I used this product and I can tell I have never seen this much weed on my lawn ever before . This formula does not work at all , not only it was unsuccessful killing the small weeds that sprouted late March , it also did not prevent new weeds from sprouting ( I understand it does not prevent new weed ) , but whenever I used my usual Scott lawn feed in early April , I have never seen this much weed . I will not recommend this product , it's just waste of money

Does not work at all

Consumer Services Admin

Bought this fertilizer for my established lawn. Applied as directed. This product does not spread or look like normal fertilizer. Very chunky like rabbit food. Directions said water required within 2 days. Had hard rain over night after applying to the lawn. Next morning fertilizer was just as large and chunky as the day before. My dog started to eat this stuff the next day after the big rain and got sick. Saw crows eating this stuff as well of the lawn. Its been 3 days and the product is still not disappearing. Have kept the dog in now for 3 days. Dont buy this product if you have animals or expect it to work like normal fertilizer

Very poor

If I understand correctly, This product robs the seeds of dandelions and crab grass of moisture to facilitate growth then wouldn't no rain or precipitation do the same. wouldn't heavy rain wipe the product out making it useless? This is a scam and a rhetorical question. like many, I've liked other Scotts products but not this one,

Don't Waste Your Money or Time

I bought this product and applied it as directed
The grass did not green up and the weeds did not die. However the seagulls loved it and spent 2 weeks having a party on my lawn eating all of the pellets that never dissolved, even after heavy rains.
Product is not worth buying,
