The product is well made, no question. However, I have issues using it in windy conditions—spreading becomes difficult. The materials we spread on our lawns are chemicals, and I noticed that when spreading in the wind, they blow away and do not distribute properly. In addition, there is a high chance of inhaling them, which is not healthy. Therefore, I prefer using a drop spreader instead.

I wanted this to avoid pushing my large barrel of seed throughout my yard due to back issues. This was a perfect size and great for addressing small areas. My only negative is that it needs to be refilled often because of its size. But ya can't have everything. Easy cleanup.  I still highly recommend it.

My wife loves it and a neighbor passing by seen her using it and stopped to find out what it was. It's easy to use and easy to clean. I wanted to use it to put salt on the driveway but she wouldn't let me lol. It's made by Scott's which has good products so it's a winner.

Great Seeder and fertilizer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't used it yet but I know it will be better than the old hand cranked one I have.  Also seem well built, we shall see when I spread pelletized lime.

I had one of these for 10 years.  Last year, I forgot and left the batteries in it, so this year, I paid for that mistake.  I have no doubt this will last another 10 years! Then I will be 80 and probably won't be using it anymore! lol

me %26 my girlfriend was looking at 1000 acres of alfalfa to plant, we wuz young %26 stupid😬we were barely able to save up to purchase this machine before planting season commenced.. But hear me out !
we planted so many acres with this machine that it actually ended up saving the human race ! 🤓
sure it was a lot of work, would i ever do it again ? who knows ! let me just see how appreciated i feel coming off this huge W ! 🧐

I've always used the little hand crank spreaders. this is way better than that. consistent distribution of materials.  batteries came pre installed, and have lasted quite a while!

If u need to put out seed and dont want to crank it out until ur wrist aches, thsi is the solution. Luv it and hav already recommended it to friends. The directions are attached to the spreader so u can select the correct dispensing of seed. I take out the batteries when not in use. It is a wrist saver!

Don't waste your money on this. I still ended up spreading grass seed by hand.   Would have returned it for refund, but was too late by the time I got around to trying it.
