Using sculpey started when my daughter and her best friend was young. Remembering how much fun they had I recently introduced my 6 year old grandson to creating with this wonderful clay. We spend quality time creating all kinds of things together and have so much fun! And best of all no kiln needed. Just your oven.

I started sculpting with polymer clay about 2 years ago.  I found this line at a very popular department store at an exceptional price.  I know this is the low end of the Sculpey line and most artisans frown on it's use, but I think this is great clay.  I use this all the time in combination with the higher end clays.  Yes, it is softer than most other Sculpey clays, and some of the colors can get quite sticky if over-conditioned.  I have found that by simply placing the conditioned and rolled out clay between two pieces of white paper, plasticizer (which makes it sticky) can be leached from the clay, making for a sturdier and stronger body.  The colors blend extremely well.  Adding mica powders and glitter is even easier due to the soft nature of the clay.  I continue to purchase and use this clay in my artwork and love it!

The Perfect Medium and NOT Just for Beginners

I have purchased and created with this clay and I love it! Very easy to work with, bright color remains after baking. I recommend this clay!

Very malleable, but still form holding!

These bakeshop colors are nice and brote and they are very spf and easy to work with. When backed thick or thin it's a flexible clay that is easy to work with

Great flexibility after baking

I use this brand a lot!!!!  I've been sculpting for many years and my hands can't really handle firm clay anymore.  This is the perfect softness and easy to work with!  Bakes up great as well!  I wish there were more colors!!

Awesome for kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 colors to try and they even sent some tools to use with it. I have never done clay before so was skeptical. I then pulled out some black,white and red. It cut smoothly. I rolled some and flattened some. Intertwined some together. It was super easy to use and make something out of. It was a soft texture. Putting it in the oven at 275 for 15 minutes It was baked. I am honestly probably gonna buy way more to mess with

Love a new craft

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using Sculpey bake shop as a family was such a fun activity to do. The kids, of course, loved playing with it and getting creative. The instructions were easy to follow, and the clay itself held up pretty well. It came with 4 different colors and a variety of tools to carve out your masterpiece. The only thing I didn't like too much was that it  stains your skin. I'd advise wearing gloves to prevent that. Other than that, it is an excellent product.

Fun acrivity for the whole family

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was easy to get out of the packaging and instructions were easy to find. Love that it can be used for many projects and isn't super expensive. It did take a little work to get it “conditioned”, but after that it was easy to smooth out for my project. As a first time sculpey user, my only suggestion would be to advise that bake times may vary, as this too about 35-45 minutes to become durable.
