All my Seagate expansion drives were easy to set up… Just plug-in the USB cable and Windows recognizes the drives right away. I have thousands of photos, MP3 files, software, and videos… So now they can all reside on a single drive. I use X1.com to index the drive making all files easy to find!

Best bang for the buck

The hard drive runs smoothly with low noise and has fast read and write speeds. This is the third Seagate hard drive I've purchased. It's perfect for storing high-definition videos, games, and documents. Compared to other brands, Seagate products offer excellent quality at a reasonable price, and I highly recommend them.

Love it!

Can't complain. Ordered one to shuck for my unRAID server with a little uncertainty if the Barracuda drive inside is as reliable as the the Exos I had been buying. Also heard that these were noisy but haven't really experienced that so far. So far so good.

No complaints

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lots of hard drive space.  I definitely recommend it if you have a large collection of video and data files that needs the space.  The biggest disadvantage of this large capacity drive is that it is still a mechanical hard disk drive, so this may not be a good choice for storing and running games as hdd are rather slow when compared to SSD'S and NVME drives.  Overall, I'm satisfied with this external hard drive.

I ordered six of these, one was dead on arrival, but the other five are working great so far. Assuming they last long-term these are a great drive for the money.

really great quiet drive. the  included usb a cable is slow to transfer but can easily be replaced with a usb c cord for good speeds.  alternatively can be shucked and installed as a desktop harddrive.  uses the baracuda line of drives.  capacity is a beast.

I bought this back in October. It's May. It dided on me. I didn't leave it plugged up 24/7. It NEVER ran fast. It always had erros. It finally died. Don't waste your time or money. Big disappointment.
