It felt flimsy to me at first but it's rated the same as safety glasses. It is extremely clear to see through. Overall I like this and I will use it often.

I received this Sellstrom ratcheting face shield after a clumsy accident last fall while stacking wood, when I managed to hit myself in the face and ended up with a bruised forehead. That was enough of a wake‑up call to upgrade my safety gear, and this shield has been perfect.

The ratcheting headgear is comfortable and easy to adjust, and it stays put even when I'm bending or lifting. The clear shield gives great visibility without fogging, and the coverage feels solid and reassuring. It's lightweight enough to wear for long stretches, but still sturdy and protective — exactly the balance I was looking for.

Since switching to this face shield, I feel much more confident doing outdoor chores and projects where things can shift or slip unexpectedly. It's well‑made, easy to clean, and has already proven itself to be a smart addition to my safety setup.
