Perfect for my small memory items

This safe was the right size for my wife to securely store her jewelry and our important documents while we are temporarily renting an apartment. I was able to bolt the unit thru a closet shelf using carriage bolts in the holes provided in the safe. We now feel safer in the event of maintenance staff entering if we are not home.

Reasonable security at a good price

sentrysafe.com

Saw this gun safe and loved the size. Large enough for 3-4 pistols and ammo. Needed it for our second home in NC. Liked the way you can anchor it on the back and bottom. Safe looks super strong and like that you can change the lock code easily. May have to buy another for the downstairs bedroom.

Nice Gun Safe

We rented a home this winter that had this safe in it and decided to purchase one for our home. Our order came in just a few days to our Walmart store. We picked it up and are very happy with the safe itself, as well as the service that Walmart provided.

Great purchase!

walmart.com

This is the prefect size for a closet shelf installation and still has plenty of room for what I need it for. My only complaint is that the battery cover (for the lock) is hard to get on and off, but that wouldn't need to be done very often, obviously.

very nice

I really liked this product on inspection however, when we opend the safe for the first time it was evident that it was previously owned. The bags of hardware where not complete and a screw was floating loose in the safe. When we followed the instructions to open and reset the code numbers, the safe did not work and we had to pop the key cover off and open with the key.
We took the safe back to walmart and they credited my account. But I had to get back on line and order another safe due to the fact that they did not carry the same safe at the store.
Much to my enjoyment it was a good thing because we ordered a .7 cub ft model and I think we will like it better.

good value for the money

Noel H

It's almost just as fast to bypass the keypad mechanism and access the solenoid directly due to the fact that you used a sponge to attempt to secure a very important piece of the safe. Because of the sponge, it's able to be defeated instantly and opened without a key or any tools AT ALL. All it takes is the correct length of wire.

Thats unbelievable and on the verge or criminally negligent, IMHO.

Security sponges are not the answer

I was looking forward to securing my newly purchase handgun so imagine my disappointment when I tried to open my new safe only to discover it would't open. I called the manufacturer and we went through various trouble shooting methods but to no avail! He told me to return it as it was defective!

SentrySafe

I had bought 3 of the Sentry Safes last year to put in our Vacation Rental and I love them but I am disappointed in this one. The other safes were large enough to store a lap top. This one is much smaller. I should have done a better job checking out the size.

Safe

After installing the safe to a wall, I discovered the safe would not lock. No matter how many ways I tried, the safe would not lock. I called Sentry customer service, and they were unable to figure out the problem. They told me they thought the safe was a return that had been resent to me based on the fact that the safe was not locked when I received it. Also, the packaging was a white box, not the packaging you see in the store. I returned the safe to Walmart with no problem, and may order anther one just to see if it is a one time problem ( since I already have two holes in my wall, might as well order the same model.)

Safe that will not lock isn't very safe!
