Ideal for storing laptops and small items.

This safe is small enough to fit under a standard bed frame and is large enough to hold many items. It seems like a very secure safe with the large bolts that lock it and a heavy frame. It would be nice if the keypad would light up, but it opens and secures very easily. The bottom has a thin piece of carpeting, but can put 8X11 papers on one side and a hand gun on the other side of the safe.

Very nice product will keep things safe. You will want to floor mount for extra protection cause safe is not that heavy.

Sony vaio bearly fit sideways

The X075 meets our criteria for replicating the basic security (no fire or water protection) of a hotel safe to store our important documents, electronics and valuables at a reasonable cost. The unit is well built with predrilled holes to secure the safe at the base and/or at the back. Setting up to an eight digit code  was easy with the peace of mind of the override keys. Very pleased after having done tons of research.

Meets expectations

I had one just like this and someone took one of my over ride keys and since I keep all of my pain medicine in it, I was not feeling comfortable anymore. I ordered a new one and it's nice but the back part inside where you put the batteries and change the combination keeps falling out and dangling by the wires. It is just not as well made. I am going to get some good glue and glue the sides of this so it stays in place better.

This one is not as good as my first one.

It is a good size that fits a laptop with extra room to spare. Key pad entry is a great feature. No key to lose!

Great safe to take to college.

Bought this safe after having owned a sentry safe that I purchased 4 years ago and really liked. The most recently purchased safe is fine, however I can tell there were some cost cutting measures. In particular, the battery compartment does not appear firmly attached to the door. In fact I had to return the first safe that was sent to me because it was loose. The second one was fine, but still cheap design.

Ok Build Quality

Good size, nice volume, light enough to be portable and used while traveling, set up easily, looks professional.  Not a big fan of the circular holes in the back which are large enough to remove smaller items (like keys) through.  Not a real solid feel, but a good value for the money.

Good safe for the money

The safe secures my valuables from easy theft but the way it's constructed to enable you to bolt it down seems it would allow water or fire to come in contact with the safe contents. I admit I just assumed it was fire or waterproof so I did not make sure that it was.

Secure safe

This safe is ideal for low crime areas and not so smart bad guys. But the walls are too thin and not made of titanium. Also it is not fire resistant nor water proof. So I plan to make some upgrades to the one I have. I won't replace the walls and door with titanium. But I can add Ceramic Fiber Insulation to make it resist an intense heat blast. And put all the contents inside simple zip lock bags to make it water resistant.

Not bad, but could be better.

This "safe" is not a safe. I failed to read the whole box when I purchased it -- it is not fire resistant and it is not waterproof. I has two fairly large holes in the flimsy rear wall. It is nothing more than a metal file box and is highly overpriced.

Should have taken a closer look

Size and other factors were fine, but 1/3 of the numeric keypad did not work. 1/3 of the keypad is intermittent. Trying to figure out if I need to replace the whole unit or if they will send parts. Unit is already mounted. Suggest tying EVERYTHING before mounting.
