Got this for my almost 2 year old son who got a dancing Elmo and loved it. It has quickly become his favorite toy and he insists on taking it everywhere. Had to get a backup just in case the original Elmo gets lost somewhere.

Plush construction has held up very well, and Elmo has taken multiple rides in the washer and dryer with no issue. His nose is sewed on very well, holding firm in place as my son often likes sucking on it as a self soothe mechanism.

Size is good and easy for him to carry around, and it's very soft and huggable for little arms.

Highly recommend for any Elmo loving toddler.

My toddler's favorite toy

I'm nanny to a 2-1/2-yo boy who eats, sleeps, and plays with Elmo. I bought the first one when he saw Elmo on a shelf in Walmart. Then I  ended up buying a couple more in case of emergency, and then a couple more. Which was a good thing, since the plastic eyes on the toy are not of the best quality ... and after several months of hitting every step in the house as Boy went up and down stairs while learning to walk, the eyes broke in half top to bottom. So now we have two "Blind Elmos" (Boy's daddy says he sounds like a blues guitarist from the Mississippi Delta) and two "Eye Elmos," and one untouched one in my closet at home. 
He's soft to start with but after months of being chewed and sucked on, Elmo -- for whom machine washing doesn't appear to be recommended -- tends to get a bit spiky and less soft. Well-loved doesn't begin to cover it!
Please don't ever stop making this perfectly-sized red furry monster!

8" Elmo is well-loved

It is such an adorable and cuddly toy. This plush toy is perfect for my son and is sure to be a treasured addition to his Elmo collection. My son hugs and cuddles, and it's so adorable to watch. My son likes to sleep cuddling with this toy; it's a comfort for him. It has such a soft texture when touching it. It has great quality. My son is loving it very much.

Very cute and soft !!!

We have 2 in rotation and one fresh one as a back-up. This Elmo is the perfect size for a toddler to carry around. It is very durable. When I tell you ours have been THROUGH it, sickness, messy meals, car rides, outdoor walks. We have had to throw him in the washer a few times and I was half expecting the eyes to come out ruined - nope. I had to wash one of them twice in a night due to my toddler getting sick on him and he washed so well, any odors came out, and he fluffed right back up. This is hands down her favorite little stuffy and I am so glad I found it. He will be around for years to come.

As loyal as the real Elmo

My 17 month old absolutely adores this stuffed Elmo. She carries it everywhere with her. Highly recommend for any toddlers who love Sesame Street and Elmo. Very reasonable price for what you get. She takes it to bed with her every night and doesn't like to sleep without it.

Sesame Street Elmo stuffed animal

My 12 month old baby fell in love with it the moment she received her little Elmo. He's small in size so he's easy for my little one to carry around and play with. He's also soft and sturdy to cuddle with. She can be pretty rough as well, so far no ripping or tearing. No regrets in my purchase.

Baby girl loves it!

Elmo is so soft! He's perfect size for my 18 month old. She loves him. I do think $8 is great considering everything Elmo usually cost close to $30. It seems durable.

We truly love our Elmo doll here! My daughter absolutely carries it around and takes it with her every where. We also bought a bigger Elmo that is almost her size as well and she just hugs them both.

Pictures and description lists 100% plush.  This is a gift for a handicap child and it was important that the entire toy be plush.  The pictures show plush fabric eyes but they are actually a hard plastic
