I purchased this on December 6, 2021, wrote this review 02/25/2022 and have until 03/08/2022 to return for a free return. This chair does exactly what it was designed to do, that is using it as a sit/wobble and stand/wobble chair. I chose this chair mainly for it's base, because I was looking for a chair that would not damage my under desk walking pad (I place a mat on the walking pad underneath the chair to prevent damage).

I must admit that the dome design of the seat forces me to stand more frequently because it can be uncomfortable for long term sitting. (That's a good thing, it forces you back on your feet frequently.)

I was not interested in leaning while standing. All I wanted was a seat that I could sit in for as long as I wanted without damaging my walking pad. So what I decided to do was to keep this unit, because it is of high quality and I absolutely love it despite the uncomfortable seat. Please keep in mind, the seat was designed this way on purpose, so I cannot give it less than 5 stars for that reason.

What I did in turn was to purchase my own standard bar seat (there are many brands out there at various prices). I found out that the seat of the chair has basic universal screw patterns and if you want to change the seat of your liking this is the best unit for this price. You can definitely get a different chair with a custom seat, but you'll be spending upward to $900.00 - $2000.00 for that brand.

I definitely recommend this unit.

The seat is uncomfortable to sit more than 10minutes at times. It is very hard to disassemble. Even at the highest point the seat compresses another couple of inches make it worthless at high chair you can seat if you desk is at standing height. Overall more hassle than worth the trouble or money for average size person. Perhaps it will work for short person if they are okay with uncomfortableness of it all.

Not suitable as stand seat for 5'8" and over

It's a good stool for the price for my standing desk. The box has like 3 pieces in it, assembly tool all of 10 seconds. I think the seat cushion could be a bit softer for extended use, but overall I'm really pleased with this purchase. Definitely helping my posture more than the desk chair I used daily before.

Tool-less assembly, stable base, foam top is okay

It's really unfortunate that for me someone who's just over 6 ft tall, this is just a seat. And not a standing stool. With just maybe three more inches you can make it tall enough to actually be leaning on it at a standing desk. Had to go for a taller stool, which is unfortunate, because the construction and the padding and everything on the stool is ideal.

It would be perfect... If it weren't so short!

I'm married, so it's been awhile since someone online lied to me about their height. I don't like it any more now. This chair is just barely 28” tall, but the second your butt compresses the cushioning and the hydraulics in the base, it's probably closer to 26.5. It's really too short for my standing desk, and I regret the purchase.

28” is generous

There's nowhere to put your feet when your feet are off the floor, and dangling your feet makes your legs go to sleep. I wanted it to improve core strength at work but if my feet are on the floor I'm not using my core to balance and if I am using my core to balance my feet are dangling and my legs go to sleep. It wobbles where the pole meets the base, the base does not wobble. It is hard to tip over, within reason. Heavier than it looks. If you want something to fidget on, only get it for a kid or if you're skinny. My plus size bum barely fits on the stool.

Not worth the price

12+ hours/day sitting, constant up/down & walking around

After using a couch-style chair daily for months at a computer desk, I noticed my neck muscles start to atrophy from constant back/neck support and little engagement when sitting. Previous muscle issues started coming back, so I needed something that would engage my body more and keep my muscles active and mitigate atrophy.

I researched thoroughly and purchased two different wobble stools. The Seville Airlift 360 Sit-Stand Adjustable Balance stool is the one I kept. I'm sitting on it now in my garage/man cave, and just purchased another one for my other computer desk. I have spent 12+ hours on this stool for the last week and it's a game-changer!

Pros:
Sturdy base
Comfortable seat
Enough movement to keep core engaged, mind/body/(feet!) occupied
Minimal base size for additional feet placement area

Cons:
Could use a few more degrees of wobble (tilt)
Seat cushion could be slightly softer (not a deal breaker)

After only a week of use this sit-stand stool has improved how I sit, stand, walk, and everything inbetween. My long-standing back muscle issue started waning, arm muscle issues are nearly gone, and neck muscles have noticably strengthened. The concept of this type of sitting is not new and neither is this kind of stool. I do, however, think most of its success is from the comfortable seat and small profile, yet large sturdy base that allows my feet ample room to rest under the stool and right at it's base--something other wobble stools cannot offer.

I'm a really picky guy, and I highly recommend this stool.

Airlift 360 Sit-Stand stool helped reduce back pain, improve back & neck muscles, engage core

Only the first day using, so I can't speak to longevity but so far this chair is amazing. It has a good range of heights and adjusts easily with the grab bar. It was easy to assemble and definitely seems to be very sturdy. The 360 degree spinning is super smooth, no friction. The free tilting feature allows you to flex left or right, forward or backward when you are sitting so that all of your core muscles get some strengthening time.

My favorite part, though, is the rounded, convex top, which is why I ordered this chair. And behold---the padding isn't too firm or too soft; it's just right. Time will tell if the padding density decreases but for now it's perfect. I thank you for this delightful tryst with my derriere. Eight hours everyday on this chair will be a summertime breeze.
