We made the mistake of buying the LOL fishing pole first. It broke in 2 casts as my 5 year old sobbed on the shores of Lake Michigan to start our vacation. I should have trusted my gut and went with the Barbie pole- which has served my family well for generations. After LOL broke, we purchased Barbie. It came promptly and saved the day. This pretty thing has endured many reckless casts into trees and even landed my 5 year old a 12 inch large mouth bass. Long live the Barbie fishing pole!

Worked well for my daughters, easy to use and come witb a plactix fish to pratice with!

For my granddaughter. I bought these poles in the past for my other grandkids. They are cheap and don't last long, but I am not buying a (good) fishing pole until they get good enough to use one.
