We installed hardwood floors on the entire main floor of our house and immediately realized that a convenient cordless vacuum that picks up all types of debris, dust, hair, etc would be essential. I did lots of research and determined this was the best quality for the money. We LOVE this vacuum. It makes ownership of these new floors to be so much more enjoyable. We also have some rugs in certain parts of the house over the wood flooring. This vacuum easily transitions from hardwood to rugs with equally awesome results. If you're debating whether to get this model, don't think about it anymore. Just buy it.

A necessity after installing hardwood floors

Really enjoying this well-designed vacuum. We are a multiple dog family so I alternate using this with the apex lift-away. It is my go-to vacuum for quick cleaning the dirt tracked in on the carpet and for my hard floors. There is enough battery time to complete tasks. The DuoClean PowerFins work especially well, even with the pet fur and my long hair.

Convenient and a pleasure to use

Arrived early. Handy little vacuum. Good suction. Thought it might be a little akward with the dust collection container at the top of handle but it's okay. I did not experience any problem with receiving a shock while using it. Good for picking up dog hair and dust on stairs, area rugs and solid surfaces. I would purchase again.

Bought this unit a a month ago to have in addition to my full-sized Shark Navigator. It's perfect for quick near effortless elimination of pet hair and dust transitioning from floors to carpet steering into tight and low lying spots, power changes handle floor mats to rugs on the fly. Then tucks away and recharges in my utility closet. HEPA filtration, ease of use, self-cleaning rollers, and deep suctioning make this the Mercedes of compact vacuums.

An Almost Perfect Compact Vacuum

It was very highly rated on Consumer Reports which is why I ordered this instead of the named more pricy models!

Great product. Lightweight and easy to use. Cleans thoroughly including pet hair.

Easy to Use and Powerful

Powerful and light-weight to use. Easy to operate. Excellent state of the art design.

Top Notch Vacuum

As someone who had never used a cordless vacuum before, this changed my life. It is extremely convenient. I wish it came with a dock or something as it does not stand well on it's own and can be difficult to lean perfectly up against the wall. A few features I love: it has two settings that are super easy to switch between - one for carpet and one for hard floors. It has a light on the front that I thought wouldn't make a difference, but it does! It makes it so easy to see crumbs and things I may have missed otherwise. The bend in the middle of the vacuum to go under tables, couches, our kitchen island, etc. is SO helpful and I haven't seen it on many other vacuums. It is definitely a feature to consider! The vacuum battery lasts long enough to vacuum my entire house a few times. I would say it is harder to clean than I thought it would and after only a few months of use looks quite dirty. Overall, a great cleaning tool for the house. The maneuverability is unmatched.

Great Vacuum!

I also own the Ion Flex that came with 2 batteries. I prefer the Ion Flex over the Vertex. I have found the Vertex to be painfully loud on the turbo mode which really is the only mode to use as the others have poor suction. This unfortunately kills run time. The flex feature continues to be the best feature overall. The ability to swivel is number 2. I was disappointed to see that the side whiskers are no longer a feature. It seems like a small thing but they did a great job of catching debris along walls. The no hair wrap is a great feature and the front soft roll is a dream on hardwood floors. I will continue to run both of my Sharks as I do not consider the Vertex much of an upgrade. I was very annoyed to find that the attachments are not interchangeable.

Not as good as I was expecting

Worked for about 2 weeks and then the suction greatly diminished. Only the handheld section works, not the vacuum attachment.

Disappointing

Shark Cordless Vertex Pro Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins, HEPA Fitler, Anti-Allergen Complete Seal, LED Headlights, For Carpets & Hardfloors, Red, IZ662H Upright front-facing red cordless stick vacuum with a motorized DuoClean PowerFins floorhead and LED headlight, visible soft front roller, removable handle battery, IQ runtime display near the grip and sealed HEPA filter housing at the rear; studio background. Lightweight stick design is often used for quick car interior or stair detailing.
