I bought this for my wavy/curly hair to use with the diffuser and so far it's worked perfectly well. My two other sisters have also diffused their curly hair with it too, and so far they love it. I also used it to blow dry my mom's hair and it was quick and easy to use, and it gave her volume and shine. The only other thing is that it is not light weight and it can be loud for some, but it's not really an issue for me. Another thing is that it can get hot if it's in the highest heat setting, but since I only use it to diffuse the lowest heat setting is fine for me.

Great dryer for curly hair

I've used this for about a month. It's a lot quieter than my old Revlon hair dryer and more sturdy, as the diffuser broke on the Revlon. I love the style and quality. The prong lift option for the roots is genius! It's allows for even drying. Three heat and air flow options are so helpful for drying in stages. Really cuts the drying time!

Gentle power for curly hair

I love this thing. It's just as good as the competition and lighter weight. I have thick curly hair and it dries fast! No damage. Easy to use too!

Very impressive

I've been on a journey to embrace my natural texture, and after a big chop, a high quality dryer and diffuser was a must. I LOVE this diffuser!! The extending 'fingers' are such an ingenious design that helps you target specific areas - I opt to start with my roots then work on my ends. I also enjoy the time I save with this dryer versus my 10 year old CHI dryer. It is also less bulky and the automatic heat and air settings it chooses based off of which attachment you use is a nice touch.

A must have for wavy/curly hair!

This drier drys faster than any other dryer I've owned.  I have curly hair so I diffuse most days and I really like the diffuser with the adjustable levels.  However, for the cost, I think there should be a temperature setting that is a constant cool, rather than having to push the cool shot button.  I think the lowest level heat is pretty hot for my scalp and hair.

Dries Fast!

I bought the hairdryer a month ago. It is amazing in that it dries my hair quicker and without frizz (I have curly hair) and the diffuser works well. However, please note the dryer runs HOT and for curly hair always run on the lowest setting. The adjustment setting on the diffuser allows you to gage it for your hair length. Nice option! The only bummer for me is that it is heavy. For being compact, and the perfect size to travel with, it is not light!  Overall, I am pleased though I think the price point should offer a carrying case or bag for travel.

Great Product, but…

This dryer was too hot for me, even on lowest heat setting with diffuser. Felt like my scalp was getting burned, and my hair felt more straw-like. I have low density fine hair and my scalp is easily seen, so maybe that is partly why. It would be better if the unit had an actual Cool or No Heat setting, rather than having to hold down the Cool/No heat button continuously.

Too Hot

I was so excited to get my new Shark Blow Dryer.  However, I'm sorry to say it's not perfect.  It's very heavy and the cool button does not work. In fact, it's kind of clumsy.

Disappointed

I waited for a year to buy this.  I am so disappointed.  The low setting is not low, it's HOT.  There is no warm, it's either hot or you have to hold the cold button.  It has the highest pitched squeeling noise when in use, I actually have to put on ear plugs.  I am sad to say, save your money.  It's not worth it.
