I bought this unit about one month ago. After turning it on for the first time, it took about 15 mintues to clean and clear the air within my living room and dining room. After 1 week,I was so amazed at its ability to keep the air purified at 100%, which the unit displays digitally on the front. I need to mention that I am a cat rescuer, and foster between 10 to 20 cats/kittens at one time. I also have allergies to mold  and dust, and I breathe noticably better and easier, after this unit has been running continuously for 24 hours a day.Need I mention, that I bought another unit after the second week of receiving the first one. Interestingly, the filter within the unit is replacable in 12 months, and there is a digital measurment percentage number, which indicates the remaing use of the filter.

i kept checking it and wondered if it was working.   then the other night i was frying chicken and i guess the fumes from frying entered the dinning area and my shark kicked in and the numbers went way down.  it ran hard for about a half hour and back up with clean air.  now that made me a believer.

is it working?

I recently got this as a Christmas gift, and I cannot recommend it enough. The setup was extremely easy, and even had a QR code to follow along with a YouTube video setup. The clean air percentages are very interesting and very quickly updated. I had this is a bathroom alongside my cat's litter box. Whenever I used dry shampoo or messed with the litter, it would immediately and automatically increase the purification speed until it reached 100% air quality again, reverting to eco-mode automatically. It's just the best. I also live in a State with frequent dust storms, so this is perfect to stay in my room/bed where I sleep to help with the dust irritations and allergies (PS: super quiet and sounds like white noise).

Easy Set Up/ Smart and Self-Effective Features

I own a bunch of shark/ninja products and love them all. Now I can include an air purifier to that list. I plan to get another for bigger room.

This Air Purifier is not huge but keeps our master bedroom as the clean room. My wife struggles with allergies but this keep our rooms air clean! Fantastic!

I love the look of the air purifier and the noise level is good but I think the air filter that I replaced did a much better job of the collection of dust.  I noticed that I need to dust more with the Shark.  Some days I feel like I should return.

Kind of disappointed

This is my third unit. Something was wrong with the first two so I am hoping this one works for more than one year.
We were hoping the unit would reduce dust in the bedroom but it does not appear to have the ability to do that. We have not noticed any improvement in air quality or dust reduction.

Jury still out as the saying goes

I purchased two Shark Never Change Air Filters in December.  In March the first one gave the warning to clean the filter even though i clean the mesh screen once a month.  Now  in April the second is giving the same warning.  After cleaning the screen and the outside of the filter, I am still getting the red warning.  Now I have two useless tools in my house-ready for the garbage.  Very Disappointed.

Waste of Money

Not happy with purchase.......of the IQ 500. Cleaned the air for about 1 week then has failed to do so afterwards. Filters are too expensive to change monthly and are not washable.
