I bought the Shark IQ with the hope that it would help me relieve the pain in my back.  The pain I speak of came after physically sweeping the floors.  With 4 dogs, 2 children and seamlessly never ending dirt, I kept my fingers crossed when I ordered.
We love this vacuum....A+ in my book.  We have affectionately named her.     Edith.

i bought a week ago its still mapping my house which i find odd since its only 1700 sf
it has ran approx 40 times and still needing to make floor plan other than that it is a very good product but it would be also nice if the unit had the no go feature so we would not have to use boundry strips . the self emptying bin is a game changer it goes back to recharge the no hair tangle works great ,,,,,but if this unit does not map my house it will be going back and will wait for a newer product to come out,
pros are price , self emptying,run time 90 minutes on normal,go back and recharge
cons mapping still not done and no go lines not available also app crashes alot

it can be better

The shark cleans a 3100 sq ft house with hardwood floors, throw rugs, and two of the bedrooms carpeted. We have two kids and two Golden Retrieves. The floors are spotless! No dog hair along walls, under dressers or anywhere! Purchase the self empty model with bag less bin. It is worth the extra money! I would give this a 5 Star rating if the map feature worked. After 78 runs, the map displays a somewhat accurate picture; however, it is still not ready to use as a feature to clean separate rooms. Hopefully a GPS/Map update will come soon. With that stated,  I can live without the map, I can see the Shark gets every spot, every room, everyday!

Every Soot, Every Room, Every Day!!

At this point we're fairly happy with our Shark. But, half of the time it gets stuck or the app doesn't work. I'm hoping that these things resolve or we will be returning it. When it does all work correctly, it does a great job! I love that I can come home to a freshly vacuumed house. At this point the jury is still out. I'll update this review one way or another.

It's been challenging

I have been using daily for about 3 weeks.  The cleaning has been interrupted almost half the time: battery runs out without unit returning to base; stops with "dust cup" (bin) full message; "bumper is dirty"; etc.  Too many errors to give it a great review.
The app is quite poor: usually needs to restart about 70% of the time (running on android); despite "push notifications" it doesn't push -- I have to go to the app to learn there was a problem

Mixed feelings so far

I've previously owned a Roomba 980.  Early on I liked it but after a couple of years and countless calls to tech support, the robot couldn't navigate my house and simply wasn't functional any longer.  I've been searching for a replacement and found the Shark IQ.  I tried this robot for about 1 month.  Overall, the feature set is fantastic with auto empty, nicely designed, etc.  However, the robot had a hard time creating my floor plan (took 17 runs) and, when it did, the floor plan "remotely" resembled the actual floor plan.  Moreover, the feature to just clean certain rooms "kind of/sort of" worked with the robot spending time in other rooms along the way.  The android app was super buggy and almost unusable.  I see great promise in this robot and features, especially at its price point.  Unfortunately, it's just not yet ready for prime time.

Great Product But Not Yet Ready

We have had this for just about a month and have run it every weekday to clean entire house and it has been unable to map out our house nor find rooms yet. A couple of the days it only ran for 10 then went back to the dock and didn't return vacuuming like it says it should from the settings we have it on. We have 2000sq to cover and it has only mapped out our living room which is were it is located. Probly would work better for smaller home as of right now it has not met our full expectations.

It works but won't map out our house

I have tried and tried to use this robot and it just bumps into things takes forever to clean a room because it just keeps bumping around going in directions where I don't want to go. It also is not capable of going from the hardwood up on two and 60 ounce luxury carpet. Just can't see for the money the constant overall managing of where it goes.  I should be able to put it down and be doing other things but it doesn't work that way at all

3 weeks now & NOT impressed

I purchase this because it said it worked great for dog hair and would self-empty;however, the small bin within the vacuum gets clog up very quickly and doesn't empty into the base like it should, so the vacuum doesn't pick up without you manually emptying the small bin within the vacuum. This doesn't allow you to schedule the vacuum to clean the whole house without someone home to self empty the small bin. Also the vacuum doesn't create the map like it should because it doesn't go into all the rooms in our house, so I had to draw a map using the phone app, which isn't easy to do. Still the one major room needing vacuum doesn't get vacuum without me telling it to clean it. Even doing this, the vacuum just goes to the outline of the room, not the rest of the room.

I finally took a moment to connect my robot after charging.  I went to the app got everything going until the step of naming my robot; it would then disconnect from the wi-fi and requires me to start over with the connection.  After 5 attempts I gave up and left for work, currently it is just an expensive floor ornament.
