I have two exotic short haired cats who shed constantly.  I could if I had the energy, vacuum the house daily!  Today I emptied my shark 4 times, full of fur each time and I didn't even do the whole house. I have the doors shut to rooms we do not use so the cats don't go into those places.  This Shark does a great job!  Better than my old one did which was still good until I fell on it and broke the stick.  The house is clean and the vacuum is easy to use.  Love the light in front and the fact that it easily detaches from the stick to get into tight spaces!  This is my second Shark and I will continue to purchase them as long as they work so well!  Highly recommend this product.

Great vacuum cleaner!

I bought this a few weeks ago and am absolutely in love ... my main reason for upgrading was having a baby who finds every missed thing and tries to eat it. Well that is 100 percent not an issue anymore I gets everything you can be extremely thorough very easily you can switch back and forth from the base to the thin tube for nooks as you go effortlessly you just pop your foot on a button and it comes out and clicks right back in... it serves around furniture like chairs under a table so easily the debris lights are fantastic I didn't actually think I'd care for them but I do!! .... I also read one review complaining about how it can't stand up and some other things that if you just read the quick start book you'll learn why.... the top part detaches and hooks onto the base for storing between uses :) this vacuum is amazing!

Best Vacuum ever

I positively love the duo clean brush roll.  I've personally purchased 6 Shark vacuums  and gave 3 to other family members.  I believe everyone should experience duo clean.  The APEX did prevent hair from collecting on the roller, but I think you sacrificed a bit of suction to do so.  Don't get me wrong, it is still very powerful, but I am partial to Shark Rocket Duo Clean.

Does what it says it will . . .

I have owned this vacuum for approx 4 months now.  I originally had the  SHARK ROCKET which still does a great job in the game room down stairs.  I purchased the DUO CLEAN with ZERO-M because the advertisements were compelling.  They were right !  Love the DUO CLEAN roller.  My hardwood floors are so much easier to maintain now.  The ZERO-M really works !   No more hair wrapped around the roller.  By far the best vacuum I have ever owned !  BRAVO for making a product that actually performs as advertised !

Even better than my original SHARK ROCKET !

I had a small, lightweight vacuum which died after many years.  My friend who cleans houses, recommended Shark.  She has the cordless model.  I opted for the model with the cord since I don't clean as much as she does.  She brought her Shark for me to try before I bought mine.  After I tried hers, buying a Shark was a no brainer!  It is lightweight, easy to maneuver and with the light and self-cleaning brush, I almost love to vacuum now!.  I have two dogs and this machine picks up dog hair without wrapping around the brush!  I fractured my femur at the top of my hip so haven't been able to do much housework, but this machine is easy enough for me to push.  I also chose this one because my friend did my stairs with hers and it is light enough that I can use it too.  Thank you, Shark!

Easy to use!

Great vacuum with good versatility. Does a good job picking up dog hair. Would be nice if appliance/crevice wand was included with vacuum and if vacuum could be engineered to stand up with out toppling over. Overall a very pleased and would most definitely would suggest to anyone who has pets to buy this vacuum. Hardwoods or carpet it does the job!

great versaltility.

I have a smaller 2 bedroom apartment and live upstairs. The stick vacuum is the perfect size to effortlessly clean my home. It quickly and easily cleans my hard wood and carpeted floors. I use the included attachments to clean my carpet stairs too. The dust cup doesn't fill up too quickly but it's easy to clean out when it's full. I've only checked the brush roll once and I did have to clip off a few of my long hairs that were caught around it, no big deal. I find it easy to maneuver and it will even fit under my short furniture. Also I love how the vacuum head has a light, it's very convenient. Overall, I'm sure you can tell I love my vacuum.

I freaking love this vacuum

This is the newest Shark in my home. And all work great going back to my oldest - at least 10 yrs old. I purchased the Apex because of the soft roller brush for my dark wood floors. My other Sharks can't effectively remove the fine layer of dust that collects on the floor. The Apex does a great job sweeping it up. The larger dust cup and the quick release head lever are so nice. My only complaint is the cord. Yes it is long but it's also hard inflexible plastic. None of my other Sharks have this cord. It is difficult to straighten, pull or wind up. In fact it flips the upper winding peg down multiple times while trying to wind it up. Feels very cheap.

My 5th Shark

I've had mine for about 3 months give or take. I find it to be satisfactory. Its good points, good suction, easy to clean and keep maintained, and easy to store. However it is quite thin and at the speed it needs to be used to be effective, it takes a while to do larger areas. Also the forward brush roller tends to collect debris like cat litter for example, in between the forward brush and the comb device that is meant to keep the brush clean. Debris collects there and in fact rubs the brush Raw. I will send a photo to show you.
I suppose I would recommend the product to family and friends however not as a vacuum for larger homes, as it would simply take too long. Also I'm not exactly sure how long the forward brush is going to last. I use it mostly on carpet but there is cat litter involved daily, and unfortunately it does build up and where the brush out.

It has its good and bad points

Not happy at all. The suction is terrible. Crumbs and debris literally just pop around on the had floor and area rugs. 

The design is completely flawed. If you tilt ever so slightly upright while vacuuming, the vacuum head portion locks. Constantly have to press the release while vacuuming. 

I was in the process of moving so going through the return process wasn't convenient. 

Save your money. This vacuum is garbage.

The worst Shark I've had.
