I liked the Shark Steam Mop as soon as I used it. I first used it in my kitchen where I have a one-piece vinyl floor. After I Swiffered the floor for excess dust, I used the steam mop and was surprised at how much unseen dirt came up. Then I used it on my bathroom floor which is ceramic tile and loved how beautifully clean it became. I used to get on my knees to clean the bathroom floor, but now I won't need to because I am satisfied with the Shark. I also like the fact that I don't have to deal with heavy buckets or having to do the floor a second time to remove the residue that floor cleaning products often leave. It is amazing how a tiny bit of water, when heated to a steaming temperature, can clean so much better than using chemicals. I also like the easy-clean terrycloth-like pad that is reusable and can be hand-washed or thrown in the washer. It fits on the bottom of the mop with Velcro and stays on well. Yes, I would recommend this product.

its nice for smaller areas gets the cleaning done for a bigger area i suggest spending more money on a bigger one but for me i use it on the kitchen and bathroom areas i love it floors look great it really cleans better then any mop i have ever used and i love love the fact that i no longer have to use chemicals on the floors for me the less chemicals i need to use the better after i use it it even smells cleaner love it !

nice no more floor cleaners

When I first saw this Steam mop I thought to myself, this won't do much of a job on my floor. Boy was I wrong. That little machine did a monster size job with ease. It did not take much effort and it surprised me on how well it did the job. When I lifted the mop up and looked at the pad I about fell over. The shark was so easy to use. I followed the quick guide adding simple water and gave the handle a couple of pumps and the results was a cleaner floor with no chemicals. If your looking for simplicity this little mop will do the job for you with just plain water. That's a big plus in itself.

Great little Steam Mop

I am totally satisfied with this item. I used it on my faux wood and couldn't believe that my floors were that dirty. I guess I have been just moving the dirt back and forth with my sponge mop before I got this mop. I even purchased another shark mop for my daughter as she just moved into a large home with large tiles throughout the home and it worked wonderfully on those floors also. They just shined! The long cord is appreciated and it is so light weight and easy to use.

The Best Mop Ever! This mop is fast, easy and effective.  It works so well, I can't live without it! I actually had this mop but let a friend use it and they gave it back broken.  At first, I thought, I don't need this. I originally got my steam mop with the Shark Navigator Lift Away Vacuum. It was quite a deal and I thought it must be very expensive on its own. Well, the next week, I saw the Shark Steam Mop online for so little, I bought it that day for store pickup.   In fact,  I love them both so much that I found the Shark Vacuum and Steam Mop together online and got it for my mother.  She has never been happier.  Clean up is a breeze! From now on, I will not lend it out, at this price, they can buy their own!

Always buy Shark!  The Best Steam Mop Ever!

I purchased this as a bundled product with my Shark Navigator Lift Away Bagless and I'm really happy with the product. I hate doing floors. I hate the dirty water, squeezing the mop, waiting for it all to dry, etc. I first vacumm with the Shark Navigator and then by the time I'm done doing that to the floor, the Shark Steam Mop is ready to go (it's actually ready to go in 30 seconds but I have a small space to mop). It works so well that I'm now cleaning the tile floor 3 to 4 times a week because it's so easy. I also clean the pad in the sink with dish soap (although you can put them in the laundry, and I will but I don't do laundry that often; yes, single, living alone) and find that the pads clean very easily. Cleaning the floor so often also keeps the pads relatively clean as the floor is getting done more.

Great for the Price!

This isn't my first Shark Steam Mop, but I worked my old one to death. It lasted about 5 years, but I used it almost daily, so I definitely got my money's worth. This time around, the cost is a third of what it used to be, and it's still the same great product! I have no carpeting whatsoever in my home, and after vacuuming, I do a quick cleaning on my bamboo floors with the steam mop. Perfect! The reusable/washable pads are great, just be sure to buy enough so you can get through an entire cleaning. My house is just under 2,100 sq.ft. and I usually go through about 6-8 pads. Wash in hot water with a little bleach, no fabric softener, and toss 'em in the dryer. I recommend always using distilled water... it will help your steam mop to last longer.

Best basic steam mop, hands down!

I bought 3 of these, one for myself, and 2 as Christmas gifts. I, of course, opened mine as soon as it came it! It was very easy to assemble and get started! You do NOT add any chemicals, only water and it doesn't use much water at all. I have now seen higher end Shark mops that allow you to spray water, too. These cost much more. For the price, I really like this little mop! I feel like the steaming action has to do a better job of cleaning and sanitizing than wiping it with a regular mop. I love the fact that it came with 2 cleaning cloths, but immediately I ordered more. This way I could go over the floor 3 or 4 times, using a new head each time, then throw them in the washer to clean them!

Good Lower End Shark Mop

Ordered on line- it arrived quickly. I didn't realize the cleaning pad would be so small. and the water container small. I have all tile in the house so needed something larger to finish the job quickly. I have re ordered a different product- never tried this one.
I have ordered a product with a water container that holds more and is filled at the sink vs. funnel, larger mop head, and that you don't have to squeeze a trigger to get steam- rather it has 3 levels of steam- I have arthritis in my hands.
***Almost all steam mops say they disinfect/ sanitize- but when you read the manual, you have to hold them still to release the steam on that spot anywhere from 8 to 20 seconds, depending on the product, to accomplish this.*** So, if this is important to you, seek out how long the mop has to be in one place to sanitize- in the on line PDF owners manual.

I didn't reseach this product enough.

After purchasing my first mop, I was very impressed with how well it worked. But within 3 uses, the steam stopped coming out. The unit was warm, the chamber had water, but no steam. I had read the instructions & only used bottled water as was recommended. The company was wonderful to replace it with no problems. However, my concern is whether or not my replacement mop will last. I am amazed at the fact that a twelve dollar iron from the dollar store will continue to put out steam when a hundred and fifty dollar mop from Shark quits after only three uses. However I did purchase a portable unit as well as a mop for my daughter in law. Hopefully, they will last.

Product does what it says it will do!!

Did not work the way I though it would. I would have rather spent the money for the upgraded deal! It doesn't kill germs or clean sticky stuff off the floor no matter how much steam you zap through it. It is light weight and easy to store. I was not impressed at all though.

Spend the money and get the real thing!
