I bought this for work, and it is a really nice machine. it looks really good and the keys are quiet, which is really important to me, I work in a really quiet office and I use the calculator "alot" all day long.. I really like this little calculator. I have found no problem with it.

Great Calculator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great calculator. I used one just like this where I worked for years.  I needed one at home, to work on an insurance claim after a fire.  The layout is very intuitive, at least it seems that way to me.  Plenty of room between keys, so your hand doesn't feel cramped.   The tape loads easily. The machine has a nice sound to it.  If there's a need for a quality calculator, I definitely recommend this one.

Perfect for what i needed it for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our Favorite Adding Machine/Printing calculator.  The Sharp EL-2196 is a great machine. They are heavy-duty, last a long time, and are easy to operate.  I have one on my desk and this was a replacement for my mother.

we have always used a Sharp adding machine in out office and never had any problems. When our old one finally stopped we ordered another one just like this and before the year was out we started having problems with the paper jamming. Thinking it was defective we ordered another just like it and again not even a year old and the paper is jamming.
