Shea Moisture has been my go go product especially since it is known for the African Black Soap. There’s this instant gratification from using this skincare line, on top of the shea moisture you actually get! Love this body wash — completrly giving the calm and relaxing promise it says! Packaging is compact, almost feeling like it’s not body wash! No reaction from my skin and I absolutely adore the smell!

Starting buying this several years ago for my Husband, who has severe ezcema during the summer months....he works outdoors and gets quite dirty---it cleans well and is also soothing on his skin---perfect balance.  I don't have any skin issues but day grabbed this in the shower after my stuff had run out.  It is FANTASTIC.  I use it with exfoliating gloves, and it makes my whole body clean and smooth...without a hint of dryness or greasiness.  Perfect balance for me too.    Had a couple of dry spots which never seemed to go away---now they're gone.   Now it is the only body wash we use in our household.   Highly recommend.

Not Only For Those With Skin Issues

This is wonderful soap! Honestly leaves my skin feeling soft and has this calm vanilla smell to it. It's amazing and definitely worth it. I also use this soap to wash my face & my skin is Flawless. This soap and coconut oil will do a body goood! I had acne on my shoulders and butt cheeks, but after using this product I can honestly say It cleared up very well!!!!! Love love and love some more

Smellllls soooo goooood

My family uses this soap as body soap, also shampoo, and use on our dogs fur. YES. WE. DO. We mix with various Shea Moisture shampoo products to create the perfect product for each family members hair. For example my daughter uses the Shea Moisture shampoo for thick curly hair but the shampoo itself leaves her hair a bit too greasy so she parts it with this Black Soap. The Shea Moisture miracle shampoo I use also leaves my hair with a texture I do not desire but I love the miracle shampoo smell so much, I add in this Black Soap and it makes the perfect concoction for my hair type and personal preference. We have been using this soap for years and we love it for so many reasons. It’s my daily soap for my face in the mornings and evenings, it’s a body wash, AND shampoo (and pet shampoo). Works great on our Brussels Griffon pup—keeps his long hair looking and feeling really great. Literally use it on our entire family! Please keep making this soap. I can’t even imagine what I’d have to endure to replace this product!! Thank you Shea Moisture! We love this soap in particular, but SO many of your products!

Best Soap I’ve Ever Tried

I've tried lots of products by this brand, and I am not usually disappointed. 
First, this (and the majority of shea moisture products) has a decent rating on EWG; so I feel confident that the ingredients aren't doing me any harm!
Second, this makes my skin feel so soft and hydrated! It even makes my washcloth feel soft when I use it!

On the downside, the fragrance isn't anything to write home about. It doesn't smell bad, but it doesn't necessarily smell great. The fragrance is a combination of essential oils, so you can only do so much. 
Also, it takes a while to rinse out of a washcloth because it absorbs so readily. You might be better off using a loofah or something less porous.

Love it! So Soft

Great option for sensitive skin that breaks out from even the slightest perfumed soaps. Been using this for 3 year on my child with allergies and eczema. It’s moisturize and it done at break her out.  It keeps going up in price though so if it’s on sale buy in bulk

Great buy nice feeling skin

Love the smell, slightly vanilla. It has little scrubbies in the soap but it is not abrasive and melts away after a few moments rubbing into the skin. Needed something that would not strip my skin, and this seems to be more moisturizing than other body washes.

Would recommend!

This is my first liquid black soap as I've only ever used a bar before. I have to say I like this better. It's not as drying to my body. I don't use it on my face. 

PRO: This soap left me feeling very clean without being all dried out. I will be buying more in the future. I like what it doesn't have - the parabens, minerals, sulfates, etc.  

CON: The ingredients seem decent, however, the "potash" is kind of far down on the list of ingredients %26 is almost the only "black soap" specific ingredient that I notice. African black soap is typically made with the ingredients found in the "Calm %26 Clear" version of this product.

I like the scent and it isn’t harsh but it is kind of watery. The exfoliating beads drop to the bottom so when you’re nearing the end of your soap, you’ll be covered in those things

Watered down real good and will stain your towels.
