Number one we live in Calif. where the weather is mild. Although we do get winds. Where the canopy is it is fairly protected and stays pretty much in place. 
It was not difficult to assemble. With the use of a rubber hammer we were able to get all the tubing together. We are both in our 70's and if we can do it you can do it. 
I have a 10x18 Monarc canopy that I purchased in 2017 which has held up well. I did purchase a new fabric cover for it, just installed it over the old one. 
This 9x16 assembles the same but it does not have the fasteners where the poles and cover structure connect although the cover structure has pre-drilled holes.

We are happy with it.
