I have had two surgeries on one knee and have two daughters with that run and do PT strengthening for the knee. I bought two for my daughter that is running competitively and two for my knees. My other daughter came home and immediately claimed one. I bought two small and two large. I would go with the medium if I were to order again. These wraps stay on and don't slip. Let's face it we are supposed to sit while icing the knees but if you have to get up to answer the phone or get a glass of water it is nice to have the wrap on. No messing ice bags slipping or dripping all over and the cold is distributed evenly and around the entire knee not just the front or side. I highly recommend these knee wraps. Well worth the investment. High quality materials used.

The knee compression ice wrap is a very effective product which efficiently provides cold therapy to the knee and surrounding muscles, ligaments and tendons. Following arthroscopic meniscus surgery, I used several competing products. The Shock Doctor Ice Recovery Compression Knee Recovery proved to be superior to the others based on circumferential cooling, compression and ability to stay in position, cooling time and ease of use. Highly recommended!

More effective than a bag of frozen peas

I have had this ice pack for a month or more now. I am working on rehabbing my knee from an ACL injury and this ice pack has greatly helped in the process of effectively icing my knee after therapy. The ability to apply circumferential cold compress really helps facilitate effectively icing my knee and reduces the pain and swelling. The ice packs work well and are easy to mold and stay cold for a long time. Overall very happy with this product! I would buy it again and recommend it to any one needing a ice pack for your knee.

Best knee ice pack ever!

The UCSF Sports Medicine orthopedic doctors and staff thought so highly of it when I was in for my second visit for a meniscus tear that they discussed the possibility of buying them in bulk to give to other patients.

I'm a former Navy Seal & Ironman Triathlete who just wants to play volleyball with his twin daughters now, and this will at least let me go back to sleep when I wake up with throbbing pain in my knee until my surgery.

I have pretty bad knees and ever since I have found this wrap it has been tremendous help. I use it after every workout and it helps with overall aches the next day. This is my second time purchasing this product as over time the Velcro will wear out but it lasted me 4 years the first time around so I'd say I got my monies worth!

Great product!

I bought this knee wrap for a meniscus tear.  This product was the best way I found to relieve pain and reduce the swelling along with this injury.  It wraps completely around your knee, and stays there, so you can even walk around.  You can adjust the compression with the velcro straps, so you can focus a bit more icing on certain parts of your knee.  Great product!!

Great features and comfort

I bought this about two weeks ago and after using it about a week it has been great.  I use it after harvesting firewood and at night right before bed.  It has done a good job of reducing my knee inflammation and I sleep better at nights when I use it before I go to sleep.  Seems as though it calms my arthritis inflammation in my knee and I do not have the jolts of pain in the knee to wake me.

Pretty Cool

I am a fan of cryotherapy! I've had plug-in cryotherapy devices to help with my knee injuries from many years of snowboarding. I love this ice compression knee wrap. It works fast and delivers comfort from any pain. 
I had purchased this product after I bought the elbow cryo compression sleeve for a elbow tear from mountain biking. My elbow sleeve worked so well, I was shocked on how quickly my body recovered. 
You can't overdose on ice.

Fan of Cryotherapy

Excellent wrap around ice for the knee but it was difficult to pick the correct size. I bought LG/XL because I'm preparing for total knee replacement and the expected post op edema. It still works extremely well preoperatively but I cannot tighten it enough to get up and walk while wearing. Overall, it works extremely well at wrapping my entire knee in cold therapy and feel it was totally worth the expense. I would suggest they make a size in between S/M and L/XL for those of us who are M/LG.

Sizing for the cold wrap therapy

I was expecting a less cumbersome device; with individual cooling packs that slide in to pockets in the wrap, it's a bit bulky, and the cooling packs tend to slide around (particularly in the freezer). Because it's bulky when fully-loaded, positioning the device correctly on the knee and securely strapping it on takes a bit more effort than I would have expected, and the velcro ends of the straps keep sticking to each other. But, once it's on, it definitely wraps the knee entirely in cooling compression. I use it with TENS pads underneath and it keeps them in place well. So, in the end, it gets the job done -- definitely better and more convenient than trying to wrap a standard ice pack around the knee with an ACE bandage.

A bit cumbersome to wrap, but gets the job done!
