This tape is awesome and has many uses other than its intended purpose of carpet. I used it to hold LED rope lights to a plastic boat and also to secure plastic painters cloth around windows to seal the windows up air tight.

I've used this tape on all my rugs for years and have always appreciated how well it holds them in place on both carpet and hardwood floors, even with two large dogs constantly running and jumping all over the rugs. Definitely worth the price. And though it takes a little time to remove if you need to, the tape comes off cleanly with no residue left behind.

Great product. Does what it says

I like the duck carpet tape, but it's not as wide as the last so I ended up getting 2 rolls.   My Husband gets up in his sleep and has a tendency to fall, so I put my area carpet down with this tape, to my surprise it worked better than the wider one! My husband hasn't slipped anymore. I would absolutely recommend it to any one. Simple to use but it does want to ball up on you, but I would just put another piece of tape over it, there is an underlayment under my rug, I had to tape it first, then the area rug. Price is right, now let's see how long it lasts, so far 2 weeks, this has been my honest opinion.

It works but its not wide enough, you need 2 rolls

My need for this was birthed from an interior decorators vision for placing a long runner rug in a high traffic hallway. This tape is truly the best! 
My only advice; 
BEFORE APPLICATION
•Lay the rug/mat/runner wherever you've envisioned it.
•Allow 1-2 day(s) to decide position %26 likeness.
APPLICATION 
(I used mine in high traffic areas - we have people over frequently so, basically every area of my home is high traffic) 
• Apply using the cris-cross method.

(Line the borders of the rug - add a cross line at your quarter points within the boarder) 
This method helps the rug from lifting in places people may accidentally catch prevents lifting which may cause falling) 

Furthermore; 
We had an a/c leak (summer in FL) the water from the leak didn't cause the tape to lift (AT ALL). Even after removing the rug the tape was extremely sticky and the rug could've been layer back down in the existing tape securely. 💁🏽‍♀️ <——- happy wife

The superglue of carpet tape

I was a little apprehensive that this product would work for me.  I needed it to hold a hallway runner down and so far for this past 2  months it has been working perfectly!  My runner, which is on the thin side, is staying put!  No sliding around and no corners lifting.   Highly recommended and I will purchase this again if needed!

Great for my hallway carpet runner!

I used this tape to help hold a cabinet liner. It holds well when the item is laying on top, the liner doesn't slip around. I had to wrap the liner under the shelf, and this didn't hold onto the liner at all. It kept falling down. I used tacky glue on this tape and press the liner up, and then it held. I know this isn't its original purpose, but the liner is not heavy, so if it suppose to have grip. I think it should have better grip.

it  does stick and keeps rug in place. It does leave a mark on the floor where tape was and does take backing of carpet where tape was off.. I would rather it didn't do those two things but it does work in keeping rug in place. I have only used it sticking rug to lino.

Duck carpet tape

This would work well on a hard floor, i attempted to use this with carpet and a rug. it has yet to wirk and that was well over a month ago, the stickiness is amazing, i can't pull it off my carpet without using some heat from a blow dryer. well worth the money when used properly. which i was not doing

I TYPED WIDE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE IN THE SEARCH BAR, .... AND THIS IS WHAT I GOT,... CARPET TAPE. I NEEDED DOUBLE SIDED TAPE TO CATCH SOME ANTS %26 REMOVE THEOR PHEROMONE TRAIL SO MORE DON'T FOLLOW THEIR ROUTE FROM SCENT.  
WALMART, PLEASE DO BETTER. ITS LIKE SEARCH FOR A BOX OF LUZZIANE OR LIPTON FAMILY SIZED TEA BAGS, AND IT SHOWS BOX OF 12 FAMILY SIZED TEA BAGS, I CANT ORDER, BECAUSE ITS LOSTED AS $52.00 FOR A SMALL BOX OF TEA BAGS. PLEASE DO BETTER.

The hold is very temporary. This tape lost it's grip within days even in very low-traffic areas. My cats could pull up taped-down rugs very easily. 

Removing the tape from the floor, however, was pretty difficult. I recommend pulling up as much as you can and then rub a couple drops of liquid soap onto the stubborn bits and adhesive residue, let that sit for a few seconds, then scrape it all off with a pallet knife or butter knife. The floor will come clean.
