I'm really glad I found this bookshelf to match the t.v. cabinet we recently bought, with a fireplace insert in it.  It looks so nice together!  I didn't want anything too wide, or with too many doors and stuff, as our space is smaller.  This was just right, and has added a lot of great space for toys and books.

Impressed

Bookcase is sturdy and attractive.  It was easy to assemble.

Good buy

This is fairly nice for a very basic bookcase. We placed two side by side and they only meet at the top and the bottom - other than that there is a gap between them. The upper and lower sections have a different number of shelves. The lower section has one shelf which divides the section into two very large openings - much too large
For any of my books - it should have come with an additional shelf.

Disappointed

I like the shelving unit however, putting it together was frustrating. 
The backing provided was cut too small so it does not meet all edges of the unit, nor was it possible to utilize the predrilled holes for that exact reason.
Also, one of the 2 units I purchased came with 2 left sides instead of 1 right and 1 left. Therefore the predrilled holes for assembly didn't match up.
Rather than take the unit apart and send it back, or wait for a "right" side to be sent to me, I used my own screws to finish assembling it. These screws has to be placed from the outside, leaving them visible. 
Given what i had to do to make it work, and the backing being too small to fit, the units are a bit wobbly for lack of support.

Nice looking shelves but had some issues

Easy enough to assemble, but shelving spaces is odd and uneven.

Odd Shelf Spacing

I really want to love this shelf, and I do love the look of it a lot. I also rarely write reviews. But the quality of these is very disappointing. I got two of these shelves, which should be identical, but the instruction booklets for the two units had different directions for how to assemble, so one shelf has a bunch of visible screws on the front, while the other has them hidden on the back of the shelf. This is not construction error, I have pictures of the booklets side by side, and they are different. Pieces were also mis-labeled in both boxes, and I had multiple cam connectors broken upon delivery.

Disappointing quality, I expected more from Ashley

This was one of the poorest quality pieces of furniture I've ever bought. The screw holes weren't drilled out enough and It was so unstable I returned it. Then I returned everything else I bought that was on order from the store. I have no desire to waste my time putting together things that aren't able to be safely put together! So disappointed.

Poor quality

The assembly was not difficult but the parts fitting together were very poor. Had to use glue to hold items together. Pieces did not line up either after assembly. Overall the shelf was very unstable right out of the box.

Would not purchase again.
