Mettler-Silk Finish Cotton thread. Made from 100% long staple Egyptian cotton with the soft sheen of natural cotton! Suitable for sewing and quilting fine cotton creations and for longarm quilting. Mercerization makes the thread stronger and heat-resistant and reduces shrinkage. Thread is colorfast. One 547 yard spool of silk finish cotton thread 50wt. Comes in a variety of colors. Each sold separately. Imported.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time using this brand, and I'm happy with the quality. Used for quilting with my domestic machine, and no issues with breakage while sewing.  Doesn't produce a ton of lint either. Decent price for a large spool too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used top of the line threads for various purposes. I also do EPP. This thread is the best so far. It doesn't break when I am trying to pop the knot through like another top of the line 100% cotton thread does. I really wanted to like the other brand because so many love it, but for hand quilting this is my favorite. It doesn't shred or fuzz with longer strands like the others do. If you have never used it, give it a shot. It is pricey but so are the others. You might love it just like I do!
