Great bed, sturdy; I assembled it alone; we used it with a standard twin mattress we had; desk is spacious albeit only deep enough to fit a standard laptop depth-wise; it has a lot of space side ways and we easily fit a printer, books and desk organizer next to the laptop; if you easily get motion sickness I would not recommend this as the bed moves a bit when turning over; our 9-year old absolutely loves his new bed and at 6' can easily lay down

This bed was bought for my 15 year old daughter. We were worried about the height with our 8 foot ceiling, but she has room to sit up in bed. Assembly is not bad except if you have to use the tiny hex wrench supplied. We really like the bed. The desk is great! We purchased the black and silver Mainstays Basic Student Desk to go with it, and it matches very well.

Great teen bed

I needed to make an office/bedroom of a small space, and I bought this bed after carefully researching loft bed/desks online. The bed I'd initially found that seemed best suited for my space (and my tastes)--ladder on one end instead of out into the floor from the side + spacious desk and a clean, spare look--cost over 3 times what this bed cost, and had a very similar look to this one. I was thrilled to find this bed at this price, and it arrived 2 days earlier than scheduled. Wow! -- After reading what others had to say about assembly, I took my time, laid everything out, followed directions carefully and assembled the bed with no problems whatsoever in about 3 hours. -- BTW I realize most reviewers bought this item for a child or young person, but it's rated for up to 225 lbs, and I'm a single man weighing 150. It's working great for me. It does have a very slight give (wobble) to it when I climb up and down, but not nearly enough to be a concern. I can't recommend it highly enough if you need to make a bed and desk work where space is limited.

Outstanding value for a great loft bed/desk

This was a really good value for the price. My 15 year old son was able to put it together all by himself in about 2 hours. It seems quite sturdy and looks even better in person. Great buy.

This was very easy to put together with 2 people. Only took us a half hour. Looks good, and is very sturdy. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because the ladder cannot be moved. It can only be placed on the one end. Other than that we love it!!

Great bed at low cost

We bought this loft bed for our seven year old daughter. For the money, it is a decent bed but do not be fooled, this bed will not be as solid as you might hope. When we bought the bed, we figured this would be a temporary thing for our daughter and that she would want a regular bed in a few year's time so we did not want to spend a lot of money. The price for this bed was perfect.

It took my husband and I about 2 hours to put it together, the directions were easy to follow and it went together quite well. However, once assembled, we discovered that it moves. A LOT. My husband was not comfortable climbing up in it because it moved so much. Our daughter was scared the first few times she did it. I have climbed in it to change bedding and I am uncomfortable with how much it moves around. I would not sleep in it myself but I do feel like my 50 lb daughter is safe in the bed. She loves it and is now unphased by the movement of the bed.

If you want a bed that isn't going to move around when you climb up in it or shift around while sleeping, I suggest a loft bed from a furniture store but keep in mind, you will pay more than double what you'll pay for this bed.

The bed is not very stable. When my son goes to get in bed the entire bed shakes and he only weighs 55 lbs. Some sort of stabilizer should be included.

Not what I expected.

It is truly a good product. On time shipping, good out-look and easy to assemble. However, i as it keeps shaking while i am on the bed, I kept worring about whether it is solid enough to hold myself and won't have any security issue.

Shakes severely

The desk screw holes did not line up with bed frame. But over all you get what you pay for. My 10 yr old likes the bed and it was a good temporary fix.

the first red flag of this order was the wrong thing was shipped to me the first time if you are looking for somthing to be on time this AINT it! Do not ignore the bad comments about it being unstable bc I did and im on it right now! If I move my leg it will wobble like nobody business.. Walmart canceled this order twice ps I don't suggest buying this if you plan on putting it anywhere near a ceiling fan . Another thing the latter isn't very easy to climb up for the wobbling I suggest mounting it to the wall!
