I have never put much thought into buying a hair brush.  My purchases have been cheap and all boar bristles, because boar bristles are supposed to be easy on fine hair, but they don't seem to be able to penetrate my hair to the scalp for a good brushing.   Nylon bristle brushes hurt my scalp.  This combination of boar bristle and nylon is amazing!!!  It cuts my brush out time in half and I can even detangle my WET hair, without hurting my hair or my scalp,  with this brush.  Best of all, I am finding so much less hair in my hair brush!! I bought the medium and it is the perfect size for my hand.  I had never thought about the size of a brush being convenient,  until I used this one.  My last hair brush was too big and that's why I was always dropping it.   So, I am buying another brush, or maybe two, so I don't ever have to be without it.

In my humble opinion, THE PERFECT HAIRBRUSH!

The longer bristles are just firm enough to withstand tangles without scratching the scalp. The shorter bristles are great for adding just enough volume to any do. Overall, This is a quality brush to add style and volume to any do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this brush first arrived, I immediately noticed the variation of bristles, both in texture and size. I also noted that it felt like it would be painful to use because the longer bristles felt tough, however, I was wrong. Three people in my house use this brush, myself, 40 year old female with very long, thick/coarse hair, my husband and my teenage daughter with medium thickness to her hair. Not one complaint from anyone. The bristles hold up very well when brushing my thick hair and do not break off like bristles of cheaper brushes have done for me in the past. I also have no problem getting this brush through my hair; it doesn't get stuck or pull my hair at all. It literally glides through my hair with ease and detangles my long hair quite nicely. I have used this on both wet and dry hair; it gets through both quite easily. What I love about this brush is that it truly feels like I am massaging my scalp when I brush my hair. My scalp is usually sensitive and sore because of my long, thick, very heavy hair, so brushing my hair/scalp with this brush actually brings me relief and feels great (I absolutely love scalp massages). I also love how soft it makes my hair feel and how shiny it looks after brushing my dry hair. I am assuming it is the combination of the boar and nylon bristles but whatever it may be, it works and I highly recommend this brush.

Really great brush for men or women!

It feels solid in my hand and it's easy to hold. It looks a little different, but it feels AMAZING. The long bristles scratch and massage your scalp while the shorter bristles almost POLISH your hair. 

This brush reminds me of the boar's hair brush my Dad used to have. I always liked the way it made my hair feel and look. Besides the static electricity in the winter, this is a GREAT brush. 

I'm definitely keeping it away from the kids.

While I'm no beauty professional, I've found that most brushes either don't seem to do the job or are almost painful to use. This is the perfect combo - strong enough to work well with hair depth but actually feels good. Need a brush - try this one.

Excellent brush for thicker hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This medium-sized brush measures 8.5" long and almost 2.5" wide, measured from the back. Just looking at the measurement on a ruler makes you think it would be bigger, but it isn't as large-looking in person as looking at a ruler would make you think. It literally is a medium size, and it fits very comfortably in the hand. It goes easily through the hair, and the plastic bristles feel kind of scratchy against the scalp when running it through the hair, but it feels good against the scalp, like invigorating. It's a very pretty brush and looks well-made.

Nice Brush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally have think, coarse, and kinky hair so I can only use this brush of my hair is permed. However, my husband uses it to massage his scalp and says it feels great. It also seems to loosen dead skin and dandruff. The handle of the brush is hard and wooden so you don't have to worry about it being flimsy. Overall, good brush, particularly if you have straight or thin hair. Otherwise, it seems to be a great brush for men.

Great brush for massaging the scalp

Its just the right size brush. I would only recommend using it if you have fine or medium hair. The brussels are not long enough for really thick hair. It gives your hair a smooth look after you brush it. For woman or men. The quality of the brush seems like it good and long lasting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sturdy brush that is great at gently working out tangles, but I do wish the bristles were a bit deeper. I have thick, heavy hair and it doesn't reach all the way to the scalp. So mainly I use it just for touch ups and shine.

Good Quality But Needs Improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair is very thick (heavy volume) and yet thin and fine, and this particular hairbrush is not helpful for my type of hair. The brush tips are so highly concentrated that the brushing immediately introduced lots of statics. Also the bush would get a lot of my hair stuck in the tips, and it's difficult to clean this hair brush. I also have dandruff unfortunately, and all the dandruff would get stuck on the hairbrush too. Furthermore, the tips of the hairbrush feel kind of harsh and it hurts to have the sharp tips brush against my sensitive scalp. Overall, for anyone with heavy volume of hair and dandruff, I would not recommend this hairbrush at all. (It might work for other types of hair, but that I wouldn't know.)
