I'm a novice at sewing and needed to replace our 40 y/o machine with one that has a free arm. After using the Singer site to pick a model, the M3300 fit our needs. Then used Google Shopping to find the best price. Clicked “Place Order” and it arrived just 41 hours later, in brand new, unopened, retail packaging. Watched a couple youtube videos to get oriented and found it a breeze to operate. Came pre-threaded, however the bobbin was inserted backwards, ie: rotating CCW as you pull the string, opposite of what the video shows. The needle threader takes a little practice, but found if you reduce string tension, it feeds easier. Very pleased with the product and price.

Again what can you say about a classic like singer corporation. I purchased this machine for our daughter. She had never used a sewing machine previously. However, after watching some YouTube videos and going to singer.com for instruction she figured it out. She enjoys making skirts and embellishing as well as upcycling clothing items and this was a gigantic help in that endeavor. The machine is still rolling on strong today After numerous uses.
