This is so fun when you get to using it right! It takes a few times to get the cutter just right but it's so fun at my age! I'm almost 46 and this is a blast to use!

It seems that dies are getting smaller and smaller so this is perfect. Using the bigger bulky machines for a small die takes more time and space.

Perfect for small dies.

This is a fabulous addition to a larger die cutting machine, or a perfect start for a crafter who is considering die cutting. I don't think that the dies and embossing folders that come with this kit are very useful, but if you love to cut out small pieces (think alphabets, tags, medium flower parts), then this is the machine  will be a real time saver for you. 
This very well made item is small, and is the sturdiest and easiest to use of all the mini die cutters. The suction cup on the bottom works very well. (If it gets dusty and doesn't hold for a long time, just wipe off the bottom, and you're good to go.
I've had mine for a few years, and many of my friends use my mini cutter. This is the third one I've purchased for those friends who ask me if I'll get them one as a present. It's solid manufacturing means you will enjoy this little dynamo for years! As a gift, or for yourself, there are few crafting items that offer more bang for the buck.
This review makes me sound like a shill, but it's a pleasure in a world of cheap crafting items to have something that gives rock solid service for years to come. This seller has a great price, and fast delivery. You can't go wrong.

A perfect little dynamo!

The sizzlex ended up not being the right model for me.
I'm more than just a beginner crafter and opted to return it for a bigger unit.
It does exactly as promised.
I can see the concern in the plates used to sandwich the dies, and embosser becoming worn fast.
I believe I read that they can be replaced and that an off brand may be compatible.
This is a great tool for beginners or those who don't want to invest a lot in a machine they will not be using regularly.

Ideal for beginners

This is the perfect companion to a larger die cutting machine.  It's perfect for keeping on the craft desk, and tackling all the little fiddly dies.  It's small, but very heavy and appears well made.  Honestly, I think a fairer price would be around $30, but I'm glad I got it just the same.

Good job doing its job--used it 4 times embossing, once die cutting. it is just too small. Returning for larger machine.

Too Small

For me it was way to small. And I would not recommend for a child because depending how thick the die is, its hard to turn the handle and if you slip off the handle it just goes turning and could hit your hand. Also one of the templates that is included would not go through. So I returned it.
