idk why it asked about batteries there isnt anything with batteries in thia scratcher, but my cat loves the carpet material and the only issue is the clean up after shes destroyed it. gotta buy another soon! still lasted her several months!

Great Post For Single Cat

A favorite of all four kittens. They climb to the top and those feathers rarely stop twirling around. Super easy to assemble and it withstands alot of kitten play. The kittens are nearly 8 weeks old. The smallest one climbs to the top and sits there while her brothers play with the feathers and climb to reach her. Very well made. Great price too!

My kittens love it!! And so far, it seems to be holding up really well thru hours %26 hours of rough play! haha

Such a GREAT BUY

I think it’s a great idea and option for not only my cat but for others as well. With that being said, in my own personal experience, my cat immediately LOVED IT and started swatting and playing with the feathers but the SECOND she tried scratching the post the entire thing fell over and scared the life out of her to the point she wont even go near it now! The material and overall quality is there but it lacks in the stability department. If the base was slightly larger in size and weight that would help tremendously!

Great Product-Poor Stability

My cat liked it, but it wouldn't stay up. It kept falling over and something else needed to happen. I'm not sure what but I just gave it to three because of the fact that it won't stay standing up.

cats got it right away BUT the things they like the best(feathery hanging things) hardly "twirled" at all despite what the description says...the carpet texture is a bonus because my cats CONSTANTLY pick my wool rugs. Now if i can just get them to leave my mother's furniture alone,it would be well worth the money

The reason I do not recommend this without a side note is due to it falling on my cats head when he grabed the toy. I now have it tied to a towel rack so that it cant fall over and its now safe to use and they do love it . I still gave it a 3 becuase now safe the cats are using it and love it . the placementt of the toys will cause it to fall over easily if cats play with the toys , so the placement of toys needs to be reavluated or somehow keep it from tipping so easily .

The bottom stand is very lightweight, my cat constantly kept knocking it over on it's side. In my opinion the bottom of the stand needs to have some weight to it, making it sturdy enough for a cat to play with the toys.

My adult cat loved this but it keeps falling over. I have braced it under a piece of furniture and maybe she'll be willing to try it again. Buyer should probably simply attach the assembled piece to a larger board at its base.

No cat can actually use this scratching post. It falls over the second they go to use it. It looks good but is cheap in every form. This product is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for"!  WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!
