Love it

I recently spent over $200 on a smoker that works terribly at lower temperatures. If you are looking to smoke salmon this is all you will need. The heating element is tuned to provide stable heat that creates smoke while maintaining an internal temp ~150 degrees. You literally set it and forget it.

Great for fish

I have owned one of these for over 30 years! While I don't use it more than 5 or 6 times a year it always works great when I do use it. People rave over the salmon I smoke. I'm finally ready for a new one although the old one is still plugging along.

good little unit

Easy to use. It isn't heavy and so you can move it and use it anywhere. The light aluminum doesn't get as hot as other metals and cools off fast. So putting it away after use is not a problem. It's perfect for the person that doesn't smoke large amounts.

thin pieces done in about 6 hours, thick ones took about 8 hours. everyone loved it.
Buddies want to borrow it to try jerky.

It is light duty aluminum construction but that is good for the occasional user like me.
cleanup was minimal and easy with "pam spray".

Smokin Ace

I found this tinny lil smoker to be very solid and reliable for the last 10 years and still works perfect. Does a Great job on making Jerky. I definately recommend it!!! One tip would be to always use good chips, they make the difference! The brand that comes with it, is a good brand, but there are others.

Little Chief Top Load Smoker

I bought mine in 1980. Still use it. I'm going to hand it down to my son and finally get a new one....After 40 yrs.i think I deserve a new one..ya think.

Lil Chief

This thing has been so disappointing. The metal is so lightweight and flimsy, next thing to disposable aluminum pie pans. The first time I opened it, i bent the door. I've only used it about 3 times and it's nearly done for. don't waste your money.
