I bought this case a few weeks ago for my new iPhone after having OtterBox cases for all my previous iPhones. This case is much slimmer and feels more sturdy than any of the previous ones I've had. Its fairly easy to get on and off and it's a single piece. I would recommend this case to anyone with an iPhone X or XS. I just wish it came in more solid colors.

Just what I was looking for. I've had an otterbox symmetry case for the last five years and loved it. When I upgraded to an iPhone X I went straight to otterbox to pick out a case. The only problem was this time with the size of the phone and the size of the case, it was too big to easily manage my phone with one hand. I was very excited to see a new thin symmetry case released and it was exactly what I needed!

Love the colour!

I bought the symmetry series case about a year and a half ago in the light green color. Recently I bought the speckled light pink case because I wanted a new look. This case design is phenomenal. By far the best phone case I've ever used. It protects your phone without being too bulky while also having pretty colors/designs. I loved it so much before, but now with the new, more slim design, I love it even more. It's true that the rubber part of the case can get dirty. But I've found that's easily fixed if you take a baby wipe and scrub it. Love this case and definitely reccomend!

Love this case

I had the older version of symmetry case for my iphone x. Although I knew it would protect my phone, I always felt it was a bit slippery and a little thick.
The new Symmetry (for iPhone x & xs) is much better.  As advertised, its thinner and you can tell immediately.  Actually feels slim now.  The PC back is also better due to increased texture; so although the material itself is still slippery, at least the texture is improved to aid grip.  Lastly, the buttons have been updated and are some of the best I've used; very tactile.

Symmetry greatly improved

This is so far my favorite redesign of the Symmetry series which has always been my favorite case line, your designers have done an excellent job redesigning it and i no longer feel envious when insee my friends with sleeker cases, in fact they are obsessed with my new case and are buying it too!! Please keep the new thinndesign as it is as it is the absolute best one!!

Great “New Thin” design!

I've had the Otterbox Symmetry (new thinner design) on my iPhone XS for a week now. 

I'm happy, though I haven't tested the drop protection!

Exterior is easy to grip, while at the same time not being so rubbery as to have dirt stick easily. 

I'm not gentle with my iPhone, or case, and this Otterbox case has so far remained unmarred. (Already been in many pockets, a few times with keys!)

I'm using the plain black case. It is unobtrusive, almost sleek, and doesn't take up too much space. This is nice in that I can fit the phone in my hand well, and it fits in my pocket easily... not so nice when I wander how much drop protection I'm really getting! Hopefully the best of both worlds! If I wanted more protection and more space taken up I would have bought the Defender.

Easy to put on phone. Buttons are smooth and sound/microphone/charger unimpeded.

Looks and feels good

I have to say, I like this case even more than I expected to. I've never purchased an Otterbox before because of the perceived bulkiness. I like slim cases! But it had been on my mind to try the Symmetry, so I came to the website and looked around. The unusual design and color of "That Willow Do" caught my eye and I ordered it.
When the case came, I love how it looked! But I had a devil of a time getting it on my phone!! I was about to give up and return it, reluctantly, but tried one more time. I must have done it just right, because as I pressed on each corner it snapped on. After it was on my phone I was really in love with it. It looks good, feels good, the buttons are very clicky (best part!) and I even think it might be my favorite case! I have the Apple leather, which I love, and a Spigen ultra-hybrid that I like (not love). But this Otterbox might keep me from buying more cases - which is quite a feat for me! I love cases....
If only it was not so difficult to put on, which causes me to anticipate that it is going to be a pain to remove, I would say it is the perfect case! (It does show some scratches on the hard plastic back too, but with this color they are hard to see.)
The sides of the case are nice and "tacky" soft, so they offer good grip - not slick at all.
All-in-all love it, but it just can't be 5 stars when it is so difficult to get on! At least for me.... But thanks Otterbox for a great case otherwise! :)

Great case - hard to put on, take off!

I bought this as I've been trying out different phone cases ever since Spigen started to make their polycarbonate material with a lot less grip.  Otterbox cases are generally large but this one wasn't horrible, so I wanted to give it a shot.  Overall the case has good protection, looks nice and simple and the buttons work great.  However it's just way too slippery on the outside/back layer and very hard to hold, especially 1-handed.  It's also too hard to do anything on your phone while case is on a table/hard surface as it just moves around.  

This could easily be solved by making an outside layer that's the same material as the inside layer, which has more of a rubber feel and great grip.  I'd love to see a smaller case too, but starting with better grip would be a great upgrade to this case.  There are many options anyway for the exterior of this case, so I think introducing one more is a great idea.

Good overall but very slipper/slick

I had an Otter Box for my old iPhone 5 that I loved, so I was disappointed to find this  one so different. Maybe I just didn't read the description well enough but my old one was rubbery all around which made it both easier to hold and was better protection for my phone. It had a higher edge around the screen and the camera lens. I liked the softer feel of the old one more than the harder Symmetry.

A bit disappointed
