I wanted to get my 9 year old grandson something educational for Christmas, and this was the perfect choice.
He had a disappointed look on his face, when he first opened the package.
After reading the box over, he wanted to play with it.
It was an instant hit, and after doing a dozen projects, he started to get a grasp on the circuitry that electricity follows.
I am definitely going to get him one of the more advanced kids soon.

Bought this for our favorite 7-yr-old boy- he wandered off soon after opening it. His 13-yr-old brother began staring at the photos of the projects you can make with the kit. He finished one of the more complicated projects within mere seconds and was overjoyed to see it really do something. That whetted his appetite and he made several more. I pointed out some of the Cautions in the directions to him, since he was not reading, only recreating what he saw in each photo. Guess we need to get him one for his age level. Oh, and their Dad loved making some projects too! Is there a snap kit for adults?? Great value, great educational kit.

Snap Circuits Jr Eletronics Projects Kit

This is a wonderful product. I had to help my daughter put the circuits together but she enjoyed it and it worked perfectly. It was great to see the excitement in her eyes when her first project started to work. I would with out question recommend snap circuits junior.

6 year old daughter loves it

I bought this for my son, 9, an avid LEGO fan in an attempt to spark a new interest with something educational. After opening his gifts, upset that he didn't get any more legos, he opened the box and decided to see what it was about. From 9 am until 6 pm he played with this toy non stop and LOVED IT! He built many of the projects, took it apart, and built some more. Around dinner time he bought the set to his uncles house and the two of them sat around playing with this some more. My uncle, an electrician by trade, enjoyed it just as much as he did. I really, really like how kid friendly this toy is AND how it teaches children about electricity. I would definetly recommend this toy to parents- you CANNOT beat the price, the hands-on educational experience, and the fun children will have arranging the little units to make music, alarms, causing light bulbs to light and propellars to rise. Amazing! Wish I would have learnt about this thing sooner!

Greatest toy ever!

I purchased this for my 11 year old Son for Christmas, He was up till 1:30 a.m. playing with this, even found him early the next morning before he got out of bed snapping circuits together! This is one of the BEST purchases I have made, its educational, keeps their brain focused on something constructive and gives them an opportunity to create from their own ideas. I would recommend this to anyone! I've even played with it myself~

GREAT Educational set!!

My granddaughter had seen this before and suggested it as a Christmas present.  She immediately went to work doing the first several experiments and later we sat down
and she showed each one of them to me as though she was doing a video.   The one
downfall is that the red whirly thing is made of very thin plastic and broke but it is still useable.

Great gift

I bought this for my 7 year old grandson. He loves science and making things work. Good starter set.

Different and unique

excellent, creative introduction to circuits for my six year old grandson. he needed a little help to start, but is now able to follow the detailed pictures to build the various projects. held his attention for a long time.

I bought this for my 6 year old for his birthday. He loved it at first, he was so fascinated with it and so was I (I was surprised that it actually worked). But after the first couple projects he got bored with it, because the first one is the light, then its the fan, then its the speaker but after that, its pretty much combining them and different ways to connect them, but to him, it was pretty much all the same thing. There are a few little twists to each of them, but my son got bored after seeing each of them work once. But it is a great learning product and I would definitely recommend it to someone with a child that has a longer attention span than mine :)

Fascinated both me and my son... At first.

Our 8 yr old son loves his circuit set. The book gives all the ideas how to use the set. It isn't always clear what order to put the pieces, but since all pieces have to touch, it's figured quickly. The pieces are small, so they will be easily lost if not put away properly. One of the sound piece on ours doesn't work proper, but the others seem fine. Still a fun gift and set to learn electricity.

Safe and fun electricity

We ordered one for our son. The battery pack connector had soldering on it. So someone had soldered a copper wire on it. It seemed like used since there is no reason to solder a copper wire on the connectors.
