This snow thrower is perfect for our home use. It is as wide (21") as many of the gas powered throwers (but avoids the tedious small engine maintenance) and very effective. This machine easily handles 12" snow and throws it a good 20-25 feet, depending on how you set the deflector. I have a 100' extension cord which gives me plenty of range to clear all the sidewalks and driveways around our home. It is also light enough and small enough and clean enough that I can lift it into the back of our minivan and drive it over to my elderly mother's home and clear all her snow in a matter of minutes.

This model is more powerfull than I expected for an electric snow blower. It had it's test in the recent east coast blizzard. The machine handled the over one foot of snow without a problem. Some drifts were over four feet high, and the model SJ625E performed great.You just have to learn the limits it has. It will move the snow, just don't bog it down by trying to go to quickly, just gradually move it into the drift,back out a bit, and move forward again, and so on. If you are in a rush, buy a snow plow. Like I said, it worked flawlessly, and went beyond my expectations in performance. I would recomend it to anyone.

Better than what I expected!

I was leery about buying an electric snow blower but this Snow Joe proved me wrong. We had a snow storm today and it was my first time using it. I was truly amazed how great it did and how easy it was to use even in some slush. What would have taken me hours went really fast. It is light weight and starts right away. Best money I spent on a Christmas present for myself. You won't be disappointed with this one.

Best electric snow blower for the money!!

I bought this in July and had to wait for winter, hoping we would get a decent enough snowfall to use this.  Well we got 10 inches of snow.  I went out and used it when there was about 4 inches on the ground and it worked very well.  Finished it off this am with the rest of the 6 inches and couldn't be happier with the purchase.  Make sure you get a 15amp extension cable.  I had a 25 and a 50 foot cable I put together and came up about 25 feet short of getting to the end of my driveway.  Ordered a 100 foot one for about 60 bucks.  
Another thing of note is this will leave a thin layer of snow on the ground.  It knid of beats it into the concrete.  Not a big deal since the next sunny day will clear off the skiff that is left.  Navigating the cord takes some getting used to but other than that couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Love this snow blower!

I can't describe how absolutely perfect this blower is. It's takes me literally 3 minutes to drop my 100 ft extension and lock the handle bar. And it chews up and spits out 5 inches of heavy snow without any hesitation . This blower almost prefers the heavy stuff than the light 2 inch stuff, even at the end of my driveway where the city truck always plows this heavy wet slushy snow about 7 inches thick. This unit does not care ,it chews and spits so awesomely . The light is good . It lights really good at 3 am when I'm clearing my driveway and sidewalks before work. And as easy as it is to set it up it fold away . Roll up my extension and I'm gone. I am so happy not to deal with gas and mixes and cranking and spark plugs and all the stuff that goes with gas blowers . I save time and my back from 1.5 hours of shoveling

Incredible!, simply incredible!!!!!

Purchased this for my husband as a Christmas gift.  He ended up using it 1 week later when we had an ice/snow storm.  We have a 3 car driveway and it normally takes him forever to shovel.  He finished the driveway and sidewalk in much less time.  He also received so much satisfaction from seeing lines left behind and the edges of the snow. He is very happy with his gift and has been sending everyone photos of the product.

Great snow blower at a very good price. I had heard numerous reviews against electric snow throwers, but can honestly say that as long as you stay ahead of the snow, this will get through several inches of snow with now problem. I used it in North Dakota on my 24' x 50' residential driveway without problems. I got through drifts 10” deep without issue, and was able to clear snow piles over 3' high when blowing the snow.  No gas to keep, no oil changes.  Pretty much plug it in and turn it on.  Light weight makes it easy enough my kids can help. 
Pros: smaller, light weight, no gas to store can handle large amounts of powder snow. 
Cons: not powerful enough to handle big jobs, must be close to electrical source. Has trouble with larger amounts of wet snow.

Good snow blower at a great price.

Worked OK on light fluffy snow under 3 inches. Outside of that I had to barrow my neighbor's snowblower. The cord is a huge hassle and gets in the way.

Do NOT buy this piece of garbage, the directional chute cap uses carriage bolts with no way to tighten them, so when you hit the snow, the upward pressure pops off the snow funnel and shoots snow straight up in the air, with a bit slogging out the end of the chute vomiting snow all over the machine. Every 4 steps the thing would pop apart and snow would shoot all over. I tried taking it off and retightening the bolts (have to do it by fingers as there is no slot for a screw driver), but it still only lasted a few steps. 

The 2nd time I used it (today) I made it a few feet, the chute popped over, snow everywhere, etc., I tried to fasten it but there was no way to do it without drilling it for a permanent angle. I tied a plastic bag over the area where the snow shoots straight up in the air, went to turn it on and NOTHING. It now will not start. Checked cords, checked to see if it was blocked with snow, nope, it's just a cheap, worthless piece of crap likely made to last a few times til the return window is over. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!
