Can be robust, but sometimes underwhelming.

It was such a good price that I thought it might not be strong enough for the 100” or so we are getting this month.  I'm a 70 year old female.  This electric blower tackled 4' of heavy snow on a big deck.  I did it in layers.  Some of the snow was heavy/crispy but this little guy blew it out into my yard.  I then did another smaller deck.  In 2 hours I was done.  It would have taken me 2 full days to clear without this Snow Joe.  I'm glad that I got the small one that I can pick up with one hand to maneuver.  Best news no sore back!

Small and powerful, did a great job clearing over 7 inches of snow this January 2025 in Indiana from my driveway. I've previously owned a powerful gas unit years ago, so I wasn't sure how electric would perform. A friend recommended electric for the convenience of not having the maintenance of a gas unit ( spark plugs, cleaning, gas), so I gave this a try. I've never heard of the brand, so I looked on Youtube and saw a video of a different model. I took a chance since I got this one for under $100. The only issue I had was the extension cord getting in my way. There is a hook to hang it on, but I was getting tripped up in the extra. I wasn't used to that coming from a gas unit. Overall, I was pleased with the performance and not having to struggle shoveling snow like my neighbors.

This product is a great bang for your buck, it pushes, shovels and tosses snow accordingly to it's specifications, it is fairly easy to assemble, it's size is great for storage as it's not too big and clunky and it takes great weight out of shoveling with a standard shovel, pushing out thick, heavy snow, while reducing pressure on your body and reducing injuries over time. We love it and our neighbours love it!

Overall Great Product

Bought earlier this month. Delivered timely and carefully. I took 3 weeks before posting a review and I don't usually post reviews but I had to come back and write something about this machine. Best decision thanks to the reviewers taking the time and sharing their feedback especially those indicating the need for special type of cable. I ordered the cable through amazon but it's out of stock right now. 
We live in Barrie and already second horrible round of snow but both times we survived with this little machine.  This morning was unbelievable how we were able to get rid of almost my height of snow pile up in our driveway. We even lend it to our two neighbours who have joint townhouse driveway and it did not disappoint three townhouse driveways in crazy weather of Barrie. 
So happy and blessed that we made this smart investment. I just hope it lasts long and keeps us happy moving forward  as well.

Best purchase!

Product easy to assemble - even in cold.  SJ618E works wonderfully.  Light, but powerful.  I can't pull ignition string on gas engine.  I have electric lawnmower, electric chainsaw.  So this is wonderful.  I can get snow out of my entire driveway - what a huge help.  It helps to have experience with electric cord handling, from summertime tools - and this little snowthrower works great.  13 Amp power is enough for my use, and doesn't cause electrical problems of too much electric power draw from my house.  I am so pleased - I can remove snow from my driveway (concrete) and live my life!!!

The SnowJoe is light to handle and plug-and-play to operate. It moves 4" to 6" of new snow from my suburban driveway (45ft by 22ft) easily and efficiently. It also moved the snowplow dump from the end of my driveway, which really surprised me. It is a lot easier than shovelling, light to handle, and inexpensive to buy. Overall I am very pleased with it - its a good product and does what i wanted.

I had to wait for the snow to return after I bought the Snow Joe!  We have had a couple snow falls this March so I got to  try out the machine.  I like it a lot, it's light and has good power. The only thing I didn't like was the start button, it took a couple tries to start up.  I think it has to be depressed to start and at first it would pop out.  It is working better now. This last snowfall was heavy and wet so there was quite a bit of clogging but it slides right out for the most part.

Overall, I am satisfied with this product.  This snow blower works fairly well except for three items: 1. It doesn't throw the snow as far as I expected (my driveway is about 15 feet wide and the first few passes do not throw the snow beyond the opposite edge); 2. although most of the snow does cleanly eject from the chute, a significant amount scatters on top of the blower casing at the adjustable chute deflector hinge; 3. the crank to turn the chute does not operate easily (I have double-checked the assembly and believe it has been done correctly).

Very Good but. . .

Item was purchased through Walmart.com.  They sell them for Snow Joe.  I assembled the unit very well (if I say so my self). I barely started plowing  and the  snow chute  popped up except for the one side that it was screwed down.  I am sure that I had it assembled correct.  I did  reassemble snow chute two more times - same consequence.  Walmart did take it back and I am assuming I will get a credit as soon as it gets back to Snow Joe.

Not a good unit.

The snow chute is secured in with plastic tabs and 1 screw. The snow chute comes loose on the opposite side of the screw. Poor design so I gave it 1 star and returned it. Overall, the thrower handled 5” of fresh snow just fine. It is not made for packed snow or ice. It's almost all plastic. If you don't have a 12 or 14 gauge extension that's another $50.
