Regarding storage, although the bottle is compact, the cap doesn't seal tightly, risking spillage if not handled carefully. Its performance is underwhelming; it requires a larger quantity to achieve a decent flavor, which reduces its cost-effectiveness. Lastly, the consistency can be problematic, as it sometimes leaves an uneven mix with floating particles, even when thoroughly stirred.

Taste just like root beer !

The flavor of the root beer is enjoyable and the price is fair. The zero sugar version has a bit of an aftertaste that prevents me from giving it a five star review. I don't feel the same way about the other zero sugar options so this one may need some minor adjustments to hit that perfect balance. I really like how the sodastream brand root beer tastes so if it's between these two I'd pick sodastream until the aftertaste issue is solved.

Mug Taste Test

Mug Rootbeer is pretty good. I am partial to A&W Rootbeer myself, bug a nice cold Mug Rootbeer is still very good.

Pretty Good Stuff

It tastes like the original, but has Splenda which is a PLUS! I can't drink a lot, it must be a high concemtration of Citrus Acid, or something.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mug root beer has always been one of my favorites, and while this does get close to a similar flavor, it misses the mark. Generally sugar free substitutes are pretty close, but this does not have the bold mug flavor, and the sickly sweet, mouth-coating aftertaste of the Sucralose is very  off putting. Oddly though, with the sickly sweet aftertaste, the flavor gets slightly more accurate. The sugar substitute aftertaste is not quite as intense as other sugar free drinks, and while drinking it, you can almost ignore it, but as soon as you stop, it comes on strong. I did like that the bottle came with its own measuring cup and instructions for making just one glass, but I would recommend just about any other root beer syrup over this one if you are a fan of Mug. If you are not well versed with the flavor of Mug, it might not be so disappointing, but I was very disappointed in the flavor.
