Unlike the version with sugar, this sugar free version can be stretched farther without losing the sweet flavour. Don't need to use it at full strength.

Great taste for even better price

Taste great. Something to enjoy, easy to make. Great for people who drink Root Beer once in a while and don't have to worry about it going flat or storing cans or bottles.

Never flat and taste great!

walmart.com

Wow I really like this one and zero calories, let's go!

Taste like the original

Petrol

The variety offered by this drink mix feels limited, as the flavor lacks depth and doesn't quite capture the traditional root beer essence. In terms of aroma, while strong, it can be overly artificial and off-putting for some.

Regarding storage, although the bottle is compact, the cap doesn't seal tightly, risking spillage if not handled carefully. Its performance is underwhelming; it requires a larger quantity to achieve a decent flavor, which reduces its cost-effectiveness. Lastly, the consistency can be problematic, as it sometimes leaves an uneven mix with floating particles, even when thoroughly stirred.

Summary: Lacks authentic flavor and consistent quality, making it a disappointing option for root beer enthusiasts.

Title: Disappointing Experience with Sodastream MUG® Root Beer Zero Sugar Drink Mix

influenster.com

Bought since your online system wouldn't let me buy Pepsi. The Mug product is better than the no name product. Will buy only when on sale as all your products are over priced.

Since you won't let me buy Pepsi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It smells exactly like root beer , the taste is amazing and flavorful as well . Me and my entire family enjoyed it . It's very easy to store as well ..

Taste just like root beer !

The flavor of the root beer is enjoyable and the price is fair. The zero sugar version has a bit of an aftertaste that prevents me from giving it a five star review. I don't feel the same way about the other zero sugar options so this one may need some minor adjustments to hit that perfect balance. I really like how the sodastream brand root beer tastes so if it's between these two I'd pick sodastream until the aftertaste issue is solved.

Mug Taste Test

Mug Rootbeer is pretty good. I am partial to A&W Rootbeer myself, bug a nice cold Mug Rootbeer is still very good.

Pretty Good Stuff

It tastes like the original, but has Splenda which is a PLUS! I can't drink a lot, it must be a high concemtration of Citrus Acid, or something.

Tastes like original

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mug root beer has always been one of my favorites, and while this does get close to a similar flavor, it misses the mark. Generally sugar free substitutes are pretty close, but this does not have the bold mug flavor, and the sickly sweet, mouth-coating aftertaste of the Sucralose is very off putting. Oddly though, with the sickly sweet aftertaste, the flavor gets slightly more accurate. The sugar substitute aftertaste is not quite as intense as other sugar free drinks, and while drinking it, you can almost ignore it, but as soon as you stop, it comes on strong. I did like that the bottle came with its own measuring cup and instructions for making just one glass, but I would recommend just about any other root beer syrup over this one if you are a fan of Mug. If you are not well versed with the flavor of Mug, it might not be so disappointing, but I was very disappointed in the flavor.

Does Not Taste Like Mug Root Beer

SodaStream Mug Root Beer Zero Sugar Drink Mix front-facing package with SodaStream and MUG branding, labeled zero sugar and zero calories; a caffeine-free root beer drink mix for turning sparkling water into classic root beer, also suitable for making root beer floats.
